That wasn't Dublin's fault MM, it was a poor Gillespie back pass that put him in to trouble.

Dublin was immense today, I particularly liked the way encouraged his team mates. Always talking, taking command of defensive situations. Even had a part to play in Nalis' goal.

Good defender but I wouldnt say he's the best defender in our team. Keown is much better. Dublin though is a very good defender who at the minute has handled his position very well. He deserves to be kept into the team. Im glad he's back on his feet.

I love it! Dublin has been getting so much abuse for months and he has one good game and now he's the business! Hahahaa brilliant.

If he continues to play well then fair play to the chap, but I am not getting over excited yet. It looks like we've got plenty of cover at the back with Keown, Dabizas, Dublin, Heath, Stearman and Elliott. Same with the midfield, we just need some decent strikers.

He was also good in the second half against Plymouth, so it's clear to see his best position is at the back. I really wanted him to do well when he first signed with him being a Leicester lad and all that. Personally I don't want him in our team anymore. His lack of passion showed under Adams as did alot of players, but he's the only one who's asked for a transfer. Now a few good games might change people's minds but I personally hope he leaves us, now the possibility of that happening is probably a slim one so I suppose if he continues to play well then hats off to him but I want the age of our team to be lowered and that's not happening.

Levein said he wanted to lower the age of the first team and infact he's raised it. Williams isn't playing and Gemmill is a sweet 11 years difference, Heath isn't in and Dublin is a sweet 12 years difference. Loving it.

Obviously keeping a clean sheet away vs Leeds is quite good, so well done Dublin.

A few young ones will have a chance, don't worry... I trust CL's staff will do their bit to try and force youngsters into the first team, and CL trusts their judgement, so we just have to be patient.

If CL can get the old guys motivated, I don't see why they shouldn't play..

As was said in the other thread, this is probably his way of dealing with our 'end of games erratic circus' problem. He will probably wait until the 'senior' squad is settled before mixing new young players into it. Otherwise, the youngsters might become a bit nervy if they see that not even the experienced campaigners can hold their nerve the full 90 minutes...

I've not got a problem with the team in general as we are winning and whilst we're winning I don't think there should be wholesale changes, but having said that I still think we are a long way off reaching where us fans want us to be and where Levein wants us to be. Against Plymouth we were poor in the first half, there was no vibrancy and Williams changed the game, that might not all be down to his age but i'm sure it helped. I didn't go against Leeds but it sounded like our midfield was out run again at times, something that needs to be rectified, Gemmill isn't the answer, neither is Gudjonsson in my opinion. I would love to see Dawson and Williams in the team, but you can't drop Nalis he's a hero at the minute.

I'm over the moon how Levein has steadied the ship, he was my first choice as manager when Adams went and i'll back Levein all the way. But for a long time i've felt with the situation we are in as a club, not being able to splash out on players it's no use just signing journeymen all the time as that's what we've been doing and we've under-achieved. It's so hard for youngsters to break through these days and in our position I think it would benefit us as a club to have a mixture of youth and experience in our team.

If Dublin plays like he did against Leeds every week, then I have no problem with him being in the team. He was outstanding.

I don’t care about what happened before as long as he produces the goods. A lot of players under performed under Adams, so it's no surprise to see an improvement. Although saying that, I wouldn't be too disappointed if he moved on in January, or any other time.

He handed in a transfer request because he wanted regular first team football. A bit baffling he rejected Coventry though because he’s waiting for a Premiership offer.

Re: The average age issue - I find it annoying that Gemmill seems to be a regular now. He really doesn't add anything to the team except for keeping things ticking along in midfield. He was too slow on Saturday and struggled to keep up with the Leeds midfield duo of Wright and Gregan at times.

Nalis tends to struggle when playing with Gemmill because he no support in closing down the opposition. We need some energy to play alongside Nalis/Williams in the centre. Either Joey, Dawson or Tiatto in a midfield 3 would be effective. But Levein seems set on 4-4-2.

Although, he has tended to stick a midfielder wide left in recent games, Nalis for Wigan and Plymouth, and Joey for Leeds. It works if you get the left full back to get forward, and Stewart does that well, although he's still not sussed out the last third. The player employing a left sided position, be it Joey or Nalis, will tuck inside and make it a midfield 3, which means we're strong in there, although it does leave it a bit exposed down that side. England play that system with Cole and Gerrard/Lampard.

They key is to keep the ball and stretch the opposition, which I think we're capable of doing with the likes of Williams and Nalis spraying the ball about. Most teams don't play with actual wingers anymore, but we already have Gillespie right side who's improving with every game.

Remember too that CL is nobody's fool.

He'll know all too well where our shortcomings are and how best to approach them. I honestly think that Gemmill is a short term fix and by the end of this three month contract will not feature.

However at times he does steady the ship when we are in a panic by playing football rather than hoofball but I fully accept that in the fullness of time this will be nowhere enough to warrant a place in the starting 11.

Our biggest improvement has been in defence and not throwing away leads. When our mentality as a unit changes to remain confident in the final ten minutes, i think the likes of Dawson will come through. The people to get us to that stage are not ideal but more of a necessity.

I would rather see the younger players surrounded by confident old heads, not headless chickens.

With regards to Dublin requesting a transfer, don't see what the problem is with people. Keown mouthed off and was welcomed back.

I mentioned that as possible reason that CL plays him in the first place... though It's unlikely he will be sold. Besides, if he keeps playing like this, I don't see the harm in keeping him 'til the summer
