The People's Hero Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 I've been chasing my tail for the last 3 weeks trying to get a fixture for this Sunday as the lads at my cricket team wanted one. I got on the emergency fixture bureau and found a really nice team, great ground, the lot, everything you want. He sorted us out for Sunday. I really wanted to make a good impression and keep this as a regular fixture. So what happens? SEVEN of my players have dropped out and I've had to cancel the fixture. Most of these players were the ones whinging originally we didn't have a fixture. Pis sed off.

If it's any help I'll be pissed off for you.
davieG Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 At least it's friday. Well I have the good fortune to only work Monday to Wednesday, so Wednesday is my Friday now I'm just nearer to Monday although that's ok because I'm on leave for 2 weeks

The People's Hero Posted 15 September 2006 Author Posted 15 September 2006 I very nearly just tried to cheer myself up by spending £400 on clothes. My willpower held out though.

Mind you, they're missing players turned up down the pub later for the Charity Shield
The People's Hero Posted 15 September 2006 Author Posted 15 September 2006 Well done! But I've just been told I've been paid a bonus so I'm considering visiting the Paul Smith, Ted Baker and Peter Werth sections of department store again tomorrow... I've seen my winter coat for this year I get so excited about clothes shopping. Such a girl!
