Hundred per centers

This is not about talent.

Which players do you think top the list for giving 100% everytime the pull on a Leicester shirt?.

I'd say:

Henderson, McCarthy, Kisnorbo, Nils, Tiattto, Porter, O'Grady, Hume, Hammond, Wesolowski.

Logan and McAuley have done nothing to suggest otherwise.

Agree with everyone except Nils, sometimes he just looks like he can't be bothered or rather be somewhere else.

I think Kisnorbo and Hume put the most in, they try and try even if things aren't going for the team, 2 players I admire

He's premiership-bound, don't ya know - that's what his problem is.

He can't wait to pull on the blue of Chelski infront of 40,000 fans week-in, week-out. :P

He'd look more at home playing with the Chelsea Pensioners :P

There was a time Stearman would have made the list. :blink:

Yes I couldn't believe the change. But he seemed back to or near his best Saturday and certainly in a better frame of mind.

I would put Kenton in there. Bearing in mind he's not an attacking right-back and being played there and not being as effective as Stearman going forward doesn't mean he's not giving 100%. He goes into tackles like a locomotive.

Thing is, with all these players you list giving 100% making up pretty much the whole team, can you blame everything on Johnson and Hughes or do you have to admit that the vast majority of our players are not good enough for where the fans realistically think we should be?

Very good point, one of the reason which Thracian probably did this poll!!!

I didn't know what to do with Kenton and just wondered if it was as you say or whether he didn't put the effort in to attack. On reflection and remembering his awful crosses when he did attack against Southend, I agree with you.

On admitting the players aren't good enough there's no doubt some aren't. But do we have a good enough team? I honestly don't know. My feeling is yes. Good enough for top half. But we never, not even once, get to see that team or even something that is played in the image of what I believe is our best team. So it's impossible to be certain.

I don't "blame" any of the players. Kelly picks the team. He never gets the balance right. Not either in terms of fluidity nor in terms of player familiarity. Footballers have to feel comfortable ith each other, an empathy.

They need to feel that everyone is able to work - and help each other - to the same end.

You continually say we don't get to see our best team. Well, Henderson, Kenton, Johansson, Kisnorbo, McCarthy, Porter, Wesolowski, O'Grady and Fryatt practically IS our team. Allowing for formation changes etc, by your reckoning of players who give 100% our problems would be solved by two of Hume, Hammond and Tiatto replacing Johnson and Hughes? I agree we'd look a lot better with Hume in the side (which will happen if Fryatt's injury is confirmed today) but I don't see how two from those three replacing Johnson and Hughes (especially Elvis out of a preferred position he can barely play anyway) would make us a top half team.

It was part of the reason I started this thread. To demonstrate that we cannot easily field a team of 100 per centers, without introducing someone else.

For instance, with Kisnorbo suspended and Fryatt injured anyway - and he didn't quite make my 100 per cent list my favoured "best" team right now would be:

Logan (100);

Stearman (Less), McCarthy (100), McAuley (100), Sheehan (recalled, Less);

Hammond (100), Hume (100), Wesolowski (100), Porter (100);

Dodds (debut) O'Grady (100)

Given this team I like to believe Stearman and Sheehan would give 100% but I still have reservations about them.

However, they are attacking full-backs - Stearman did pretty well against Colchester when he came on - and they are the only attacking full-backs we have who can properly link the play to an attacking midfield and two further strikers.

To me, on paper, that team is as good as we've got available in an attacking sense and should be capable of scoring goals.

It's great strength is its flexibility. For the first time in months we could get eight players in and around the box when attacking and would easily have the speed and energy to recover.

But we're not going to have AS and RK won't pick that side anyway.
