Come up with the best possible team assembled of players that have been on our books at some point since we were relegated (i.e. anyone from the squad that started the 2004/5 season to present day).

It's difficult.

We were in the prem that season? you mean 04/05?

Ian Walker is a must.

I'd say Dickov/Connolly up front. Although Hume/Fryatt did show some promise last year.

Sorry I meant 04/05. Be interesting to see who people go for up front (if anyone bothers to do it). :D

I forget who's played for us and when in recent years to be honest. They're all that shite they just blend into one another. It's like for the last two years we've had a squad full of players called Lilianikos Heathjonssonyatt.

I would have to say the following players:

Walker

Thatcher

Kisnorbo

Marcus Bent

Muzzy

Gudjonhson

Weso

Hume

Dickov

Sir Les

The highlighted didn't play 04/05.

To be fair it might have been my fault for being special and getting the year wrong when I made the thread.

The reason I started this was that you could conceivably end up with a team full of players on our books at the moment and what the hell would that tell us?!

I'm going 4-3-3.

Walker

Stearman

Kisnorbo

McCarthy

Stewart

Wesolowski

Gudjonsson

Williams

Connolly

Fryatt

Hume

Very tough, frightening.

Right......get on the naughty bench....now.

Name a better attacking left back than Stewart in the past few seasons? Who incidently could also defend reasonably well aswell. It's just his attitude was terrible and he was so frustrating. I'd still have him back over Nils, Tiatto or Maybury.

See what I mean! I'd pretty much agree with that but you end up with our current team plus Walker, Jordan bloody Stewart, Joey and Connolly. Worrying.

Stewart was alright! :P

Jordan Stewart was about as good as Roberto Carlos - without the pace or the one good free kick per 7 years.

The fact that he is actually good now is very strange. (Least I think he is????)

It is worrying, but really who in the past few years have we let go that we shouldn't have done? I still think our main problem is not so much the players but the manager and the board. This league isn't so much about quality but who wants it the most and who can grind out results. I've seen alot worse squads than ours perform. We've just had 3 crap managers in recent years and a clueless board.

With the right manager, they could get this squad performing.

Charlie Chalk, Justin Timberlake, Carl Asba, or any of the players you have mentioned.

No we haven't let many players go that we shouldn't have done, we couldn't have stopped three of those four players go and the other one is Jordan bloody Stewart. I think that shows that the players aren't good enough, but worryingly enough we have the best players now that we have had for three years and they are performing as badly as I've possibly ever seen.

Didnt he score a great free kick against Ipswich.... the one free kick he scored in about 7 years oddly enough!
