breadandcheese Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Always thought Leon Knight a half decent player, but sadly, his attitude is the problem. He's like a poor man's Stan Collymore. If we had a manager who is a pro at dealing with difficult players, and senior pros in the team who could take him to one side, then I'd say worth a gamble. As we have an inexperienced team and manager, I think it's a gamble too far.

We shouldn't use Collymore in any context when talking about the lower leagues. Collymore is in a world of his own for both football skills and being a drama queen. A poor man's Stan Collymore might be wayne rooney.

He's not a poor mans Stan Collymore, he's not fit to alphabetically organise Stan Collymores Porn Mags.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 He's not a poor mans Stan Collymore, he's not fit to alphabetically organise Stan Collymores Porn Mags. He's not fit to stitch Ulrika's wounds. He's not fit to wipe down Stan's dogging stains. He's not fit to lace Stan's straitjacket. Fun, this!
breadandcheese Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Ha ha. When you put it like that, you're right. I apologise to Stan, his family, the women who have had the most magical 30 mins of their lives and anyone else hurt by my false comparison.

Apology Rejected, I'm off to write a book on this whole incident called "Tackling my 'Replying to Short term solution until fryatt fit......' comment by BreadandCheese post #3' demons"
Cobbo Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 The player joined from Brighton for £125,000 in January and has scored 20 in 37 games, seven this season. Good call Swansea.

Get the ghost writer from Jade Goody's autobiography to do it. An excellent, yet subtle read. He has a way of making her problems seem almost like you should care.
ScrumpyFox Posted 16 October 2006 Author Posted 16 October 2006 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=26397 Ya don't say to the forum buddy cheers, im always slow on a monday! thing is, if he didnt have an attitude problem then we would probably be competing with other clubs to get him. surely its worth a gamble, as i said take him on loan til january. if fryatt is fit and starts scoring again we can send him packing???

I'd take a gamble with him Like somebody said earlier if we had a manager who could get players to knuckle down then he'd be a snip but Rob Kelly would rather walk over hot coals then take a risk with a player like that. Alan Sheehan is rotting in Mansfield mainly due RK's poor man management!
