Micky off to OZ?

Micky Adams is being offered a return to management, in Austrailia with ambitious Sydney United. The ex-Leicester  boss is being head hunted by te club down under who are willing to pay him £500,000 for one season's work. Sydney Unitedare going all out for success after the Australian league was re-formed. Cash problems scuppered the set up.

Good luck to the man :D

*sigh* (copy and paste from my post on the OS earlier!)

-Before I start I know people will probably think i'm mad for saying this and it will probably be controversial...With more people against what I am going to saying than for, anyway....

Right in the first season under MA everyone loved him, he did brillient, and don't anyone deny this! In his second season almost EVERY fan was begging him to sign a new contract, He did, people were calling him the new MON! And what did everyone say when we got into the premiership? "I will settle for 17th place in the Premiership" - IMO the statement "I would settle for 17th place in the Premiership" gives the impression, you think you will go down, and we did...OK Micky did make stupid decisions, both signing players and substitutions, tactics, e.t.c, but still we went down! Everyone was calling for him to go. Now while he was getting 5hit from these fans what did he have to put up with? Players leaving, Dennis Wise, Going to court because of Dennis Wise, Administration, Other teams/chairmen/players/managers having a go at him/the team, The transfer embargo, La Manga, No money, this list goes on...what good things happened to MA? Promotion...and to be fair thats it!

Now compare MA's problems at Leicester compared to MON...What bad things did MON have to put up with? No money given by the board and that was the reason he left! 1 bad thing and he leaves...Sound fair! lol

MA needed a break from Leicester, and Leicester needed a break from him, and he deserves more than what he has got from Leicester!

So thats my view on people s|agging Micky Adams...but it doesn't stop there!

Now we have Craig Levein, and in his few weeks here, its pretty fair to say he hasn't done to bad a job has he? Well, already people are calling him to new MON...Why the fuk? Now yeah he hasn't done anything bad yet, but he hasn't done anything 'outstanding' has he? Now is it just me or does MA's first season and CL's (so far) compare pretty similar?!?!? To me it does!

Now move on from MON, We will never have him back and I doubt there will be anyone to simlar coming to Leicester....Now in 2 seasons time I for one hope Craig Levein is still here, and I also hope he brings lots of success here, and just for the record i'm not s|aggin CL off, just pi55ed of with people s|agging MA off!

Sorry for the essay but I am just sick and tired of Leicester City fans not being grateful of anything!...2 seasons ago we could now not have a club!

FUKING STOP MOANING LOOK TO THE FUTURE, SUPPORT YOUR CLUB, AND STOP MOANING!! FFS!

MA in desquise?

Sorry but When MA was here I stopped enjoying watching City, Poor team selection, awful signings, substitutions, out of position players and his favourites. He did well at first as it wasn't his squad, when he got his own squad together it showed how poor he really was.

I see your point Matt, but I think we do have the right to moan. You mean to say you'd be quite happy with MA still at Leicester, and if we were doing rubbish, you wouldn't be moaning

So would you call the current squad MA's squad?....CL doesn't seem to be doing to bad with it, he isn't doing brillient but he ain't doing bad!

And anyway my main point is everyone was saying MA was the new MON in his first season, then it went all downhill, Now CL has come he has hardly done anything but he is 'the new MON'

Ask around Matt before saying stuff like that, i hated MA from the start of our Premiership campaign after seeing the signing's he made, i never supported him.

Hope he goes Oz and never comes back.

Good ridance.

CL's got more out of some of the players than MA would have ever done. Did you ever see Gillespie playing this well under MA. And at least Leveins showing some form of interest in the youngsters by going to the reserves matches. Yes CL's still putting older players out in the team, but at least he's making an effort to make Leicester a club that isn't just a place where the old footballers are coming to get an extra years pay.

Going back to the original point, I think Adams should go to Australia til the end of the season. It's a great country, a new experience and a much more relaxed lifestyle. Plus with £500k he'd be mad to turn it down!

I think I will have room in my suitcase to take him with me....

WOOHOO! I'm off to Australia myself on Saturday!

-But i'm staying in Victoria, Melbourne with relatives...so Micky would be on his own from there...

you wouldnt want him for melbourne then?

I wouldn't be suprised if he came here to Sydney, but what might put him off is that you have to play three U-20 players in the team.

I won't bother cpoying and pasting my response on the OS boards. Needless to say, I was very skeptical about his abilities to manage a team from the start.
