They won't do anything before 12:30 cos they'll be no Derby fans around so about 1-3pm trains coming in expect some police presence, whether they'll be full escourts i don't know

The Man Who Would Be King Posted 14 November 2006 Share Posted 14 November 2006 This is a question to those who have had experiances of being marched to the game. What is the chances of us lot being frog marched and what kind of time do they do this. well at derby last season, there was a good 30-40 leicester on the half ten train and when we got there, there was quite a few coppers waiting for us. Forced into a pub (which they seemed to put every leicester they could into) and they waited till about half 2 and 'escorted' us to the ground. Only for them to walk us past the derby end, where there was a good five minute stand off, and nearly missed K/O. The derby police are so clever Although everywhere i go this seems to happen to me. Luton, preston, Derby, Cov, Wolves, etc etc. It is quite fun, but after a while it gets a bit annoying cos you can't go where u want when you want. It also seems as though they do more harm than good sometimes.

gatesheadfox Posted 15 November 2006 Share Posted 15 November 2006 i'm hoping there will be no police escorts from the station, well seeing as my train will be a southbound one i doubt it will affect me. as for student prices, they offer to the home crowd but only if they have a membership (i heard) which allows them to avoid using such scheme to the away fans, sheep shaggers
lcfc_jme Posted 15 November 2006 Share Posted 15 November 2006 I was told in the ticket office that there is no student ticket for Derby. I basically emailed the ticket office and asked whether or not we'd be getting student tickets for this game, or at the very least whether there would be student discount, and the reply I received was as follows: Hi Jamie, Thank you for your email. There is a Student price at Derby; this is 15 pounds on production of a valid NUS card. Kind Regards Jim Ticket Office --------------------------- Just to be sure, I asked where the NUS card needed producing, and was told the following: As far as we are aware you just have to produce your card at the away turnstiles at Derby. Kind Regards Jim Ticket Office ---------------------------- Hopefully this clears up the confusion, and makes people aware that student tickets can be bought for this game

Guest Posted 15 November 2006 Share Posted 15 November 2006 Just to muddy the waters then. When I went to purchase my tickets on Monday, I said "I believe that there is a student ticket price of £15 for Derby". "No" said the woman in the ticket office, "There is a £15 student ticket for Norwich, but not for Derby". So I could not buy tickets for this game at student prices. lcfc_jme Posted 15 November 2006 Share Posted 15 November 2006 I have just received some grave news from the Ticket Office.. It seems as though Lisa was right, and I have been misled by Jim from the Ticket Office: Dear Jamie There are no student prices for this match, Derby don't discount tickets for Students. Kind regards Louise -------------------------- It seems like the ticket office do not know what is going on, but everybody is going to have to pay near £30 to get to this one. Apologies for previous confusion I caused, but blame JIM from the LCFC Ticket Office
