Stuliasz Posted 1 November 2006 Posted 1 November 2006 From the CTFC official site: The club have today announced that first team manager Lee Harriman has tenured his resignation with Coalville Town Football Club. Lee, who arrived at Owen Street in 2001, was hugely instrumental in enabling the Ravens to take flight. Lee had led the side to success in the Senior League, Senior Cup and Coalville Cup competitions and steered the club into the Midland Alliance. However it was November 2004 where Lee achieved his biggest accomplishment by guiding the club into the first round of the FA Cup where they narrowly lost to league side Wycombe Wanderers. Town chairman Glyn Rennocks said: "Following extensive discussions, it is with regret that I have today accepted the resignation from Lee. However, we part on amicable and mutually respectful terms. "Lee leaves the club with his integrity intact and we would like to take this opportunity to wish him every success in his future career. "As of forewith, Bob Stockley will temporarily take charge of all first team affairs." Lee told the Ravens' website: "I wish to put on record my gratitude to the chairman, coaching staff, players, all Coalville Town support staff and, in particular, Coalville Town supporters for their loyal and continuous backing. I wish Coalville every success in the future." The club will now be looking to replace Harriman, and all applications can be made to Glyn Rennocks via e-mail at [email protected]. ---- I think it's a shame as he's done such a wonderful job with the club. Get the feeling he'll be off to another Alliance club though.

Stuliasz Posted 2 November 2006 Author Posted 2 November 2006 Yep 1-0, think Coalville was officially emptied that day. I remember Nathan Tyson getting subbed in a huff too cos he missed about 3 open nets
filbertway Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 Yep 1-0, think Coalville was officially emptied that day. I remember Nathan Tyson getting subbed in a huff too cos he missed about 3 open nets Only because Bowlesy was such a commanding goalkeeper, put him off. Now he's at Tamworth number 1 there, what a keeper. Coalville have leamington on saturday who are unbeaten all season and are going to walk the league, the scene is set for a massive upset, managerless coalville snatch 2-1 victory with ash warner returning to score 2 goals

Shit player that still manages to bag a fair few goals.
Thracian Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 where's he from .. I used to know some Harrimans in Mountsorrel? I played with and against a Geoff Harriman from that area back in the 70's. He was part of a printers' guest team we formed which won a national competition. Some cracking players in it like Pat Gallagher, Shady Adcock, Alan Dawkins and Alan Cripps who all came from the Loughborough/Barrow area.

Milky Posted 4 November 2006 Posted 4 November 2006 a) I've never been approached by Coalville Town. what happened to b,c,d??
filbertway Posted 4 November 2006 Posted 4 November 2006 a) I've never been approached by Coalville Town. That doesn't matter, it says you can apply, wold be nice to see your what you say put in to practise
Thracian Posted 4 November 2006 Posted 4 November 2006 That doesn't matter, it says you can apply, wold be nice to see your what you say put in to practise I've not applied for a job in years and cannot understand the principle really when it comes to football. If I was a manager and wanted some players it would be no use waiting for them to apply - I'd have to go out and get them. It's similar with a manager really. Look at the farce with the last Leicester managerial job hunt. How many guys applied for that and wasted their time, especially seeing as there wasn't really a job available in the end. No, if Coalville want a manager I am sure they'll know who they want and set about getting him. Besides, if I applied and it didn't work out, its my fault for convincing them it was me they needed. If Coalville made the approach then they've no-one to blame but themselves and would therefore perhaps work harder at helping to make the appointment succeed. And who says the Coalville board would collectively embrace my attacking beliefs anyway?. They don't know me from Adam.
Thracian Posted 4 November 2006 Posted 4 November 2006 i have emailed Glyn and applied Best of luck Scarb.
