A female friend of my brother's was chatted up by 'Stuart Campbell' as was Leicester reserve team, occasional first team player (i.e. not well known enough at the time to be found out very easily). Knowing my brother was a Leicester fan she popped over to check 'Stuart's' credientials. My brother informed her no Stuart wasn't a squat bloke with a crew cut. His face when my brother confronted him was apparently a picture. Another time a few years ago, someone tried to chat my friend up by claiming to be a Tranmere player. When I innocently enquired whether he had ever played at Wembley he made out like he'd played a crucial role in winning the Cup for Tranmere a while back. His smug smile was wiped off a treat when I informed him that I was there and as Leicester fan the final score was indelibley imprinted in my memory. His mates who'd been listening in on the chat up attempt fell about laughing. I don't think he'll live that one down any time soon.
