Wycombe Fox Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 Just got home from seeing the new Bond film, Casino Royale. I admit that I'm a complete Bond freak and am always a bit nervous when a new actor takes the mantle. Marks out of 10 - I'd give it 9¾, nah sod it - have 10! Really good film. It's a different kind of Bond film with fewer gadgets and hardly any special effects. The stunts are brilliant and it stays pretty much in line with the book. Go see it!

Head Honcho Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 Don't think I've seen Daniel Craig play a bad part. He's a fantastic actor
Suffolk_fox Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 We saw it tonight too. Fantastic movie, Daniel Craig could possibly be the best Bond ever!
cisono Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 We saw it tonight too. Fantastic movie, Daniel Craig could possibly be the best Bond ever! I just hate his face. Really offputting. If I go and see the movie, I might have to concentrate on his abs
lookwhaticando Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 We saw it tonight too. Fantastic movie, Daniel Craig could possibly be the best Bond ever! Shame he's not ginger.

Random Burglar Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 What a film, absolutely amazing. Loved every second of it...
lookwhaticando Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 All I can see there is his HORRIBLE wide face :pinch: How about this? Some chebs to distract you from the face, too.
cisono Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 How about this? http://www.mi6.co.uk/livenews/images/eva_green.jpg Some chebs to distract you from the face, too. I am not really into them either. Don't like photos cutting off the top of the head. (It seems that the photographer was not bothered about her head...)
lookwhaticando Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 I am not really into them either. Don't like photos cutting off the top of the head. (It seems that the photographer was not bothered about her head...) I'd make a good photographer. I like her head.

Suffolk_fox Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 I'd make a good photographer. I like her head. Nah, if you want Good Head, there's only one Bond Movie...

MC Prussian Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 How about this? Some chebs to distract you from the face, too. She looks very ill on this one, like she's been poisoned or just lost a dear friend.
cisono Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 Triple negations rule!!! Well, if double negations cancel each other out (well, at least they did... in Latin), then surely a triple negation has the same meaning as a single negation, except perhaps being a bit more emphatic?
lcfcalan Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 First Bond Film I have seen at the Pictures since Diamonds are for Ever, It wasgreat, no world wide domination plot, nothing too unbelievable , (yeh yeh I know some of the stunts were a bit impossible) but overall , a really good watch. Yep he has nailed the part IMO.
MC Prussian Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 Speaking of "Casino Royale": Has anyone ever seen the other "Casino Royale" from 1967, starring Peter Sellers? It's a wonderful spoof on the Bond series, though it lacks a plot. There's an awful lot of prominent actors in it, like David Niven, Ex-Bond Girl Ursula Andress or Orson Welles.
Leonisco Posted 19 November 2006 Posted 19 November 2006 Saw this last night - fantastic film! So different from all the other Bond films - in this one he actually has a character, he's not just some robotic killing/sex machine. It also has some genuinely funny moments ("Everyone's gonna know that you died scratching my balls" ) and there's a real chemistry between Danny Craig and Eva Green ( ). Not to mention the action scenes - the bit on the crane was stunning. Film of the year.
