lookwhaticando Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 *pretends she didn't read that* While one may not enjoy reading most of his works, one must nevertheless admire the chap. I really only have time for Macbeth and Hamlet. None of the others I've read have much appealed to me.

lookwhaticando Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 I love Hamlet. Steady on there... he's a bit old for you. I, on the other hand, am just like Hamlet, but younger.
JoeyB Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 I love Hamlet. He could fling together a good insult: http://www.pangloss.com/seidel/Shaker/index.html where did you get that from:O its quality
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 "You should be women, and yet your beards forbid me to interpret that you are so." Brilliant, and that was only the second one.

lookwhaticando Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 ^^^ moving away from shakespear ^^^ Don't let Louise see that.
lcfc_jme Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 why not? She likes Shakespeare (I think) and doesn't want to move away from him, instead wanting to spend time appreciating some of his works (I could be wrong but...) Notice how this thread is quite dead now
Rincewind Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Notice how this thread is quite dead now much like Shakespeare. As I get older I appreciate his works more. I'm no expert but he did some good stuff. His plays have been reproduced all over the world and interprutted into many genres. Also he liked to nip in his local for the odd pint of ale which can't be bad.

Notice how this thread is quite dead now As a Shakespeare fan, she'd have been gutted by that sad excuse for an attempt at spelling the bloke's name. So you were wrong.
Louise Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Got completely distracted from Shakespeare by Coleridge and the Romantic Imagination, so no worry. "Would the fountain of your mind were clear again, that I might water an ass at it."
