Wycombe Fox Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 I was at an all time low about our prospects last season after the defeat away at Plymouth but this continued lack of anything - skill, passion, tactical ability, ability to change things that aren't working (by the manager or the captain), money etc etc - is really making me feel so much worse.
Milky Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 I thought 3 teams go down though? it gives us a better chance though would you not agree? Looks like a fight between us, leeds, barnsley and luton
Leicester Lass Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 it gives us a better chance though would you not agree? Looks like a fight between us, leeds, barnsley and luton Fight fight fight fight!
Joe. Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 Absolute joke. It was a good first half as well. Then it just crumbled. Please Rob do the right thing and go.
lcfc_jme Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 it gives us a better chance though would you not agree? Looks like a fight between us, leeds, barnsley and luton Palace aren't out of the woods yet either. 5 teams fighting to avoid finishing in the final relegation spot. Only a 20% chance of it being us. Sounds a bit better to me, but still doesn't make good reading.
Master Fox Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 Dont listen now but - Highlights No, no This is the best part!
Glen_lcfc Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 What will Kelly say - hopefully he tell it like it is - he does normally do that - he seems to be always honest when we're crap - quite often nowadays
Thracian Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 It's not easy when you're three hours away from the ground but the key to defeat tonight seemed to be our reaction to taking the lead. By all accounts we were the more attacking side in the first 20 minutes and Eadie had mentioned that the Canaries could be a bit iffy against in-your-face opponents. But as soon as we took the lead I wondered will we keep pressing forward, keep pushing for a second and of course, the answer was no. I cannot imagine it was Kelly's orders but it was all about trying to have what we hold and conceding seconds before half-time is the kiss of death for a football team and invariably happens as a result of failing to push up because they want to see out time. Concentrating on half-time team talks is much harder when something like that has happened and we offered very little second half as Norwich continued to push on. RK needed to take his extra attacking initiatives at 1-1 not at 2-1 down, but again, you have to question his selections. Every change you make means it's hard for partnerships to flourish. Why Maybury at left-back for Heaven's sake? Why two harriers in midfield cos it rarely works. At 1-1 we were screaming out for our missing link - the midfielder who could ghost into the box. Kelly hadn't got one. So why not go 4-3-3 early on and play Porter in midfield. He clearly made one boob somewhere near his own penalty box but generally he seemed to be linking quite dangerously with Hume, Hammond and Hughes. With three up front he'd have had more targets to aim at and from midfield he might have put someone in on the floor. But could Maybury have joined in on the overlap - not a chance from the left. Tiatto should have gone there. He and Porter link together all the time. Both are left-footers. Danny's as comfortable up front as in defence. Maybury hardly ever plays left side. It all leaves me utterly bewildered. And that's only one aspect.
Joe. Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 Ok it seems desperate for us now but let's think properly- we're not even halfway through the season yet. There's still plenty of time. To be quite honest with you, I wasn't expecting an easy ride this season. At the start I predicted a 15th place finish.
lildave3 Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 Basically, we're too defensive at all times, especially when we take the lead Or in simpler terms: We're rubbish.
Joe. Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 It's typical City. We always sit back on a one goal lead and we pay for it EVERY time. Notice how we never win by more than one goal. Why don't we just attack and push for a second goal whilst we're on the upper foot and they're still recovering after the goal?
Master Fox Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 Why am i still listening to the radio?? Yey!!! It's Rob!!! Whooo you're the best!

Daggers Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 What will Kelly say I really couldn't care less what Kelly thinks. We have listened to him wibble out a load of nonsense all season and for I while I swallowed it. No more. If he can't make a decent attempt at winning games then (quite frankly) he can FOAD. There's no spirit, no spunk, no eagerness, no desire, no passion...no 'remember Dunkirk, boys' and 'over the top'. (Aside from in this post ) No one seems to give a flying **** about playing for the shirt....what was that Rob is often saying? How that's the one quality you'll always find in his teams? ****ing tosser. Does anyone believe him when he says this stuff? Seriously? I'm sure he believes it but I'm buggered if I can see how anyone else can swallow it. The quote of the night, "...and there's a forty yard backpass to Logan!" Let's recap that one in slow motion: ...a f o r t y y a r d b a c k p a s s t o L o g a n... Rob (Mr.40yd Backpass) Kelly, would you come in now please, your time is up.
lcfc_jme Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 Yey!!! It's Rob!!! Whooo you're the best! Rob finally admitted that the defeat was down to him!!! He's making progress Maybe now he'll realise it's time to go
Milky Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 Yeah why was Hume taken off at HT ? I was'nt listening at the time. it wasn't HT, it was 75mins or something
filbertboy Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 It is fast boiling down to 2 simple facts... 1 kelly must go 2 MADARIC MUST ARRIVE Or we are doomed for f**king ever
Master Fox Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 What will Kelly say - hopefully he tell it like it is - he does normally do that - he seems to be always honest when we're crap - quite often nowadays 'Norwich are the biggest team in our division and they were not any better than us tonight!' Go Rob!!
Leicfox Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 Yeah why was Hume taken off at HT ? I was'nt listening at the time. OOPS im talking bollox, says he came off after 81mins, sorry.

I agree - none of the players seem remotely bothered (with the possible exception of hume) of playing for the shirt, of playing with passion, of playing with desire - no nothing
Daggers Posted 28 November 2006 Posted 28 November 2006 'Norwich are the biggest team in our division and they were not any better than us tonight!' Go Rob!! What a tw@t. ...err - Big Rob, not you MF. I love you
