I think it will be the same as the starting line up at Burnley, but I would like to see the following:

------------------Taylor

------Keown----Dublin----Stearman

Canero-----------------------------Stewart

-------------Nalis-----Dawson

------------------Williams

-------------Wright---Connolly

Get rid of Gemmill please!

Keep him, he's decent.

Tries to play some football at least.

A team that is young with enough experienced players to help the younger ones, instead of 9 of the bastards, creative, pacey, and eager to do well.

I only remembered we had a game when I was talking to a mate of mine last night - I think the team will be the same one as on saturday. possible no scowy if he's definitely going to norwich because leicester wouldn't want him to get injured if they are trying to sell him.

It's getting so boring and tedious people putting Dawson and Stearman in their teams. Stop it. They won't play.

Gemmil is actually quite good. Watch him today. Actually watch him, rather than just being like most of the morons who just constantly slag him off because of who he is and because they're looking for a scapegoat.

Gemmill has no energy and cannot create anything! He never dares to shoot when he has a good opportunity 20 yards out. Gets the ball, passes it sideways 10 yards. All he can do is retain the ball and when we have him playing alongside Nalis we really have no pace at all in the midfield, leading to us getting over run all the time.

Dawson and Stearman probably won't play, but people can put a team down that they would like to see playing can they not?

It will be the same team unless Scowcroft is on his way in which case Wright will probably start.Hopefully it will be the same formation and not 4-4-2.

Sorry Cobbo, there's nothing wrong in passing sideways provided it's to another midfielder, I dont remember Lennon doing much more passing wise. It's also good if he passes it to a more creative midfielder or winger, rather than wasting it with specualative shots, ala Gudjonnsson. Retaining the ball, I would have thought was quite an asset in our team. Re pace if you are playing a holding midfield role I don't think pace is a major requirement, again Lennon was not exactly renowned for his pace. I would admit he's still not the best holding midfielder around and would be better in a 5 man midfield but I think your criticisms are a bit harsh when cconsidered along side Nalis, who I like but thinks too slowly and Williams who needs to get his finger out of his arse and to look interested in playing by greater movement , space creation and calling for the ball and actually using his undoubted ability.

Overall I think our midfield is decidedly average but I dont think Gemmill is the ogre everyone makes him out to be.

Just my opinion of course.

IMO Gemmill is no better or no worse than anybody else in our poor midfield with the possible exception of Williams who hasn't really had a decent run of games yet.Tiatto is our only good midfielder the less are very average with gillespie being the best of them IMO

I tend to agree with Cobbo here - Gemmill is too exposed in a 4-4-2 with Nalis, and often gets overrun as a result of a lack of pace and energy. Gemmill is better in a 3-5-2 because he has more cover around him, but I still feel that Dawson is a better option.

Some of are you are too quick to dismiss these players, which is understandable because you probably haven't watched them play. Maddog displays the type of ignorance amongst Leicester fans when it comes to the youth players.

Stearman was Man of the Match versus Reading, but still gets dropped from the squad for the next game. People that saw him play that day would agree he looked a promising talent, and Dawson is on par with him IMO, so why not give him a chance instead of players who have performed poorly all this season?

I haven't under estimated Dawson, I've only seen him play once. My views on Gemmill are based on comparisons with Gudjonnson mainly, both the nearest we have got to holding midfielders . I think Gemmill has been significantly better than Gudjonnsom. The fact that both struggle also indicates that Nalis and Williams are not strong enough as well. I didn't consider Gillespie or Tiatto as I don't consider them as central midfielders.

Gemmill get's an unfair amount of criticism in my opinion.

I agree with you about Gemmill to a certain extent - He is better than Gudjonsson, who IMO is well over rated. How he got to play for Real Betis I'll never know. Its a bit of a catch 22 situation with those 2 really - Gemmill is good at retaining the ball, but has no energy or pace to play in a 4-4-2, whereas Gudjonsson doesn't seem familar with the phrase 'ball retention' as he tends to twat passes carelessly, but he has the energy to get about.

If we are to play a 4-4-2, then we must have Williams and Dawson in the centre. It's painful watching a combination of Nalis Gudjonsson/Gemmill as its either too lightweight or too slow. As I've said, Gemmill would be fine in a 3-5-2, playing in the holding role. However, he doesn't have those ball winning qualities. You can't rely on Nalis or Williams either. Dawson has that, and a lot of other things...

Well I guess we don't really disagree then. I sincerely hope you're right about Dawson and that he gets a chance soon.

The reason that nobody really takes the people who whine about getting youth players in seriously is because you've only ever seen them play at most what, 5 times? at reserve or youth team level at best? and you think they can play this level of football.

yet the past two managers and management staff see them train every day and don't think they're good enough yet?

I think I know who knows best.

Look, I know everybody needs scapegoats, someone to blame, it's human nature, but try and find another one. Not having the youngsters in is getting to be a tiresome one.

Fine, if you're happy with useless wasters churning out performances like that, then that's your prerogative. Its not a case of finding a scapegoat, its a case of fielding a team that gives us the best chance of winning.

But I can understand your ignorance, you've never seen them play to make that judgement. Levein has only been here for a short period of time, and he's indicated that he's interested in bringing through the youth, so you can't say he doesn't think they're good enough yet. He's still assessing his options.
