BartonFox Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 And can someone explain to me why he is still getting away scott free? The man has guided us to a state far more precarious than when Eric Hall got the Forrest Gump, yet the overwhelming majority just sit back happy clap and present excuse after excuse.
Finnegan Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 Face it. The English aren't protestors, they're letter writers. You keep posting these threads, but the reality is that people aren't radical enough to take mass action until something truly, truly dire happens. It's not just a problem that haunts Leicester City Football Club, it goes beyond football, it's a whole culture that fuelled Anne Robinson's career.
James. Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 I don't get it - what has he done this time? uh-oh

Perhaps some Scots too? The Scots are kicking up a fuss about Trident at the minute, something that's years away... that's what I call proactive protesters. Get 'em in! I don't get it - what has he done this time? uh-oh lol
Finnegan Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 I wasn't really trying to make that a dig at the English in general. Just said "the English" because Leicester's a club in England with mostly English fans. Tbh, the Welsh are even more laid back than you lot, we're not really the right royal moaners the Scots and Pads are either really.
BartonFox Posted 22 December 2006 Author Posted 22 December 2006 I don't get it - what has he done this time? Seriously, if it wasn't Christmas I'd give you cyber trashing <_< What has he done that is any good? Ever?

We need the board to stop farting about trying to gain support locally - we need to take this campaign to Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Finnegan Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 fook off. The Northern Irish can stay exactly where they are.
BartonFox Posted 22 December 2006 Author Posted 22 December 2006 fook off. The Northern Irish can stay exactly where they are. Jeez can you imagine the knee-capping and petrol bombing going on? Hmmmmmmm
Finnegan Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 You don't need the Northern Irish to knee-cap someone. You just need to stop talk, talk, talking and moaning on a message-board and go and do it. I mean, where's your action, Barton Fox? It's fine being all talk for Foxes Talk. It's fine being an internet protestor, maybe you go one further, maybe you're one of those pub-philosophers that are all for change over a pint, as long as it doesn't trouble them. Where's your action? Where's your protest?

Where's your action? Where's your protest? Thankfully for the majority of our support 'work' has been done. Sadly, and this has been said time and time again, our support is 95% numbskulls and happy clappers who don't want to rock the boat and bury their head in the sand as to what is going on. Even our 'Trust' won't do anything about his abject performance and it is only recently that the local media have started to report what certain folks have been saying for months on end. Yet no-one cares enough to do anything about it. Time and time again I and others have made efforts and highlighted the catalouge of disasters from this clown, but we are viewed as trouble makers and/or moaners.
Finnegan Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 Are you in politics? Because that was absolutely outstanding. You managed about, er, 150 odd words there (which is a fair amount for a forum) and completely avoided answering the question. I didn't ask for a critique of our fans, I asked what have you done?

Although you may have some disagrements on actions, surely the point Barton raises is a concensus among LCFC fans. Davies is and always has been a leetch on the club and from what we fans see his schemes are awful, there was the Bucci, teamcard, the Birch (depends where you stand on that 1). In short the bloke's a cretin! I cannot see how losing him is to lose an asset I really don't!
Mort Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 The Scots are kicking up a fuss about Trident at the minute, something that's years away... that's what I call proactive protesters. Get 'em in! lol Nah... somone stopped me the other day in town trying to get me to sign an anti-Trident petition, told me how it was gonna cost billions, my response "must be amazing then!" ...fine, just give me my moment (!)
Finnegan Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 BF is questioning our fans, I'm questioning BF - I think that's a fair rebuttle. He thinks we've all got our heads in the sand, yet all I see him do is talk, talk, talk. I'm offering him the opportunity to correct my assumption that he's just a blow-hard and tell me what it is exactly he does to act. As it is, he's skated around the question and offered up a reword of his first complaint.

Fair enough well my suggestion then would be to use FT to list what TNBD has done wrong and see who is interested in campaigning against him. I would love to see the guy go! so I will help anyone who wants to stand and be heard for the good of LCFC. Action is all well and good but you have to focus your attentions, explain your reasoning, gain support and organise a protest if you so wish. Discuss

Really, if spelling it out for 3 seasons isn't doing something then I don't what is. I have other means of making my point and have done so to certain members of the LCFC Board both current and future, but none of them deserve to have it laid out on here.
Finnegan Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 Spelling it out to whom? The thirty, say maybe fourty, active posters on one fans message board on the internet? A real El Ché, you!

Finnegan Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 So, besides beinga forum troll, you've done nothing? You are, then, just another fan who may as well have his head in the sand. You are enlightened, and you try to share this intellectual wealth with a few forum-whores, but otherwise, you're a blow-hard?

The man has guided us to a state far more precarious than when Eric Hall got the Forrest Gump, yet the overwhelming majority just sit back happy clap and present excuse after excuse. Suporters seem to tolerate anything now Stems from the administration, theres a feeling that we are lucky to have a club syndrome The board, Rob Kelly and the players have escaped any mass vocal criticism that has happened previously for less. Even Birch has become mutted and has to conform since his near exit A rosy picture is painted in the local media, only sense is on message boards and most of what Glenn Stewart said on the moan in
Finnegan Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 Disappointing, really. I think there's something romantic about the notion you're some sort of revolutionary die-hard who makes bi-monthly 1000 mile round trips to Leicester from the Bonnie banks of some Scottish wilderness just to campaign and rally the support of the City fanbase. You may hike our prices, you may privatise our shirt-suplies, but you'll never take our freedom? Or something. Just a shame you've got nothing more to offer than a few dopey, apologetic thumb-up emoticons before you likely forget this thread existed and go back to the monotonous preaching pre-Caerdydd match day. I'm disillusioned.
He's not bald Posted 22 December 2006 Posted 22 December 2006 Know any more Welsh-born Leicester fans? Perhaps some Scots too? I was born in the valleys, but I have been in Leicester long enough to know that complaining won't get you anywhere. We have always put up with "bull" from our club and it will always be the same!!!
