Bert Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Hoggard out with side strain. England into bat first. 12 overs gone. 32/0
lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Currently sitting on 45-1. Strauss was on 29 and had already been dropped in the slips by Justin Langer He's gone now though - twat. Lee has him. England 45-1.
lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 England 58/1 at lunch on Day 1. Cook is on 20, Bell is on 7. Strauss is the only man to go, caught behind off Lee for 29

lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 How many overs is that then? I don't know much about cricket but that seems like a low run rate. It's 17 overs gone in the morning session at a run rate of 3.41 runs per over to be precise

lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 What would you do with your life without Skysports/BBC? Use this site instead ld3, that's what I'd do
lildave3 Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Use this site instead ld3, that's what I'd do Looks pretty poor to me...the website isn't too good either
lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Looks pretty poor to me...the website isn't too good either Maybe not, but all I need it for is to tell me the bowler and their figures, the batsman on strike and how many runs they have, the partnership size and when the wickets fell and the overs bowled and the run-rate. As far as I can see, it does exactly that, so its appearance matters not
lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Cook goes for 20, caught behind by Gilchrist off the bowling of Clark. 58/2
lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Why did we even bother turning up? Methinks it's because we won the Ashes last summer and then we had to attempt to defend them. Just a random guess, like
lcfc_jme Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Last update from me for the night anyway. England are 109/2 off of 38 overs. Bell is unbeaten on 37 and Pietersen is unbeaten on 18.
Matt Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 4/201 Not looking too bad...yet! Flintoff batting and looking like he's trying to prove a point to the media just hit a 6. I hated Cricket before coming to Australia but because i've been playing it and theres not much else to do but watch it while its on, i've come to quite like it, I didn't understand a thing about the game (Well didn't take any notice that why I didn't understand it) but now I quite enjoy it, I think it'll be a shortlived enjoyment though! I went to the Barmy Army's HQ pub (Irish pub) I bumped into a Leicester fan and started chanting with the Barmy Army to the Australian fans!
Ultra Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 No, but that could change if we lose some early wickets tomorrow. However if the Aussies have to bat last and chase any total over 200, then Monty could make things VERY interesting for them..
Leicester's 12th Man Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 This test series has been such a disappointment for us and by no means does this current score or even a win make everything alright. It is a good score but we can't forget the last 4 tests. Full marks to Pietersen, he is the batsman the Aussies fear the most. He is one of the the only batsmen who can take on McGrath or Warne.
Joe. Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 At least we're going out with a decent performance. We cannot lose 5-0. It's just taken them this long to realise how bad this series has been .

Didn't it look like we were going to give a good performance after the first innings of the 3rd test? And look how we ended up there. Personally I don't think England will do anything but lose in this test, I'd love to be wrong but I can't see it. On a positive note though, Flintoff has just passed 50 And back to the negativity, McGrath has just taken Collingwood for 27. 245/5
lcfc_jme Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 We'll get 320-380. Really? Read goes for 2 caught behind and Mahmood goes first ball. Lee on a hat-trick. 258/7
lcfc_jme Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 make that 7/258 and lee on a hat trick next over See above He didn't get it either
dhermon Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 yes i can see above i can also see the bit that reads "This post has been edited by lcfc_jme:"
