My TV cut out after the Panesar dismissal so I went on the net for live updates and it said Read had gone.. It then backtracked on itself which led to me doing the same thing

Milky Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Mahmood goes for 4 123-9 lead by 21 so sad, but we'll cane them in 2009
lildave3 Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Mahmood goes for 4 123-9 lead by 21 so sad, but we'll cane them in 2009 **** sake, this is embarrasing.
Milky Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 **** sake, this is embarrasing. it is, but you have to look on the bright side. Warne, McGrath and langer will never play again. Hayden probably won't be playing in 09, Gilchrist and ponting are knocking on a bit. whereas we have new young talent in bell, cooke, pieterson, panesar etc..

Hayden probably won't be playing in 09, Gilchrist and ponting are knocking on a bit. whereas we have new young talent in bell, cooke, pieterson, panesar etc.. But by then, they will have their new talent. We all know the aussies will continue to produce great cricketers.
lcfc_jme Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Hopefully we'll do this to them in 2009. We're going to have to greatly improve our batting and bowling though because we have been a disgrace in this series.
Milky Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 But by then, they will have their new talent. We all know the aussies will continue to produce great cricketers. i'm not so sure, we'll see. how can you replicate a warne or McGrath, they are legends of the game. and those batsmen i mentioned are in the top list of all time.

I'm not saying they'll be as good as them because no-one probably will be ever again. But i think the people they bring through will still be better than whoever we have.
Milky Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 I'm not saying they'll be as good as them because no-one probably will be ever again. But i think the people they bring through will still be better than whoever we have. don't be fooled by the 5-0, we're aren't actually that bad. We've just been completely outclassed by a sensational side. don't panic, we have talent, it's not all doom.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 My mate's just come up with a decent idea... "we shud really declare war on somebody and call all our team back before the 1dayers" Might cost millions of lives and that but saves some face dunnit?
Bert Posted 5 January 2007 Author Posted 5 January 2007 Shit. We still have the one-dayers to come. We're even worse at that.
Milky Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 we're still one of the best test teams in the world. Just outclassed by world number 1.
lildave3 Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 we're still one of the best test teams in the world. Just outclassed by world number 1. What chance do you think we stand at the World Cup then?
Milky Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 What chance do you think we stand at the World Cup then? no chance. We just don't have the bowling attack, and the batting is hit and miss. Batting wise KP is one of the very best, and Freddie is more than useful when in form. Other than that we look very thin. we should beat canada and kenya in the group stages.
lcfc_jme Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 147 All Out. Harmison left unbeaten on 16. Australia need 45 for the whitewash.
Daggers Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Some of them have to seriously give consideration to giving their gongs back to Her Maj. ****ing outrageous display.
