lcfc_jme Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 yes i can see above i can also see the bit that reads "This post has been edited by lcfc_jme:" At 12:04AM, which is still 3 minutes before you came in with it at 12:07AM Well, we're now 282/8. Flintoff is playing well at the minute, what total we get in this first innings depends on how well he continues to play. Harmison is the man to go, Clark got him.
Matt Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Australia are 3/123 chasing 291, Australia have been 1 for most of the day but England have took 2 wickets quite quickly late afternoon. I think we have chance in this test, TBH although I am in Melbourne i'd rather England win this test rather than the Melbourne test because Australia are really fired up for a 5-0 so to make it 4-1, its still embaressing for England but it'd piss the Australians off abit I think. Also Warney, McGrath and JL would lose there final test! Brilliant!
Shum Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Another batting collapase - what a suprise! I'm glad I didn't bother staying up to watch it.
Milky Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 the last 5 batsmen only scored 2 runs! the last 4 have only scored 113 runs in the entire series compared to nearly 400 in the 2005 series.
Ultra Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 We need an early wicket or three tomorrow morning. If the Aussies take a big first innings lead we're fcuked...
lcfc_jme Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 We need an early wicket or three tomorrow morning. If the Aussies take a big first innings lead we're fcuked... Whether the Aussies get a big first innings lead or not, if we bat in our second innings as we did today, we're fooked. Make no mistake about it, Australia want to send McGrath, Warne and Langer off with a 5-0 series whitewash, and I think that our second innings could see them step it up a gear and completely blow us away.
Milky Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Mr Cricket (Hussey) has just gone! Caught Read Bowled Anderson come on!
lildave3 Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 We start to bowl now. In the FIFTH test. Better late than never.
Nationwider Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 I think I'm going to wake up tomorrow to news of Gilchrist and Symongs double hundreds. I'm THAT positive!
Bert Posted 3 January 2007 Author Posted 3 January 2007 I'll bet you a crumpet neither of them get to a hundred.
Nationwider Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 I'll bet you a crumpet neither of them get to a hundred. A crumpet it is!
lcfc_jme Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 I'll bet you a crumpet neither of them get to a hundred. A crumpet it is! And bertie is the winner of the crumpet, as Symonds departed for 48 and Gilchrist went for 62
lcfc_jme Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Australia first innings ended on 393. Shane Warne the last man out, stumped by Read for 71.
lcfc_jme Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Only a 102 behind then Yeah no worries at all We'll be 2 or 3 down by then most probably, so this could be over early tomorrow.
lildave3 Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Yeah no worries at all We'll be 2 or 3 down by then most probably, so this could be over early tomorrow. Losing 5-0 will be embarrasing...
lcfc_jme Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Right I'm off to have a sleep. It's 73-3 at the time of my departure, meaning we've lost 3 wickets and we aren't even level yet. Aren't we amazing?!

lildave3 Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Collingwood out for 17, Flintoff gone for 7. 109-5 at the minute.
The People's Hero Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Looks like my bet could be coming in then. This was pretty much inevitable unless one of the tests got washed out.
