Chelsea Slip Up Again!

The post-match interview with the 'Special One' cracked me up when he was asked about whether he would be buying any players in the transfer window. He complained about the prices clubs are asking for their players in England.

Whose fault is that? Time to look in the mirror Jose!

Glad there was a draw for them today. I didn't want Villa to win, and neither did I want Chelsea to win. Wasn't the greatest of games either.

Sparked to life with about 15 minutes to go.

Baros coming on seemed to spark a renaissance in the games activity levels.

Villa were good value for the draw, Chelsea were effectively useless in front of goal it seemed. Didn't really look like scoring.

Wanted a Villa win to be fair, but I'll take a draw. :santa:

It's just unbelievable that such a man is getting that much press coverage. Everytime I switch to the BBC, they're making headlines. Together with Wenger, he's probably the most annoying figure in English football at the moment, because most of the time, they're both complaining for nothing, yelling around like little kids in the sandpit whose plastic shovels were stolen. As you've said, the high transfer prices are - in part - caused by the sums those clubs (and ManU) have been willing to pay for players like Ballack, Shevchenko, Rosicky, etc.

Idiots.

Spot on - they have sell on value there of at least 5m is summer

I am deeply confused by the lovbe affair with Lampard that Mouriniho and Sky Sports seem to have. Man of the Match yesterday (that said it was tough to pick one - Bouma!) for as i recall the following:-

a)Shooting wildly on sight.

b)Drilling free-kicks into walls.

c)Failing to see Wright-Phillips (albeit after a great touch) on the break away and then drilling his pass past Drogba(?)

d)Missing sitter in last few minutes against a man in his pj's.

After weeks of noticing this trend, i did purposly keep a eye on him yesterday and apart from some decent (as should be expeceted) passes, his game seems to have degressed back into his first season at Chelsea - basically shoot as powerfully as possible from whatever range, whatever is going on around him!

Yet as for when playing for England, he is picked and often praised - i must be mad!

Both teams looked short of confidence and form. Having players injured didn't help either.
