The People's Hero Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 Anyone else a fan of these? I find them fascinating. Have been trawling ebay trying to pick some up on the cheap but not having much luck. Still, the Blue Planet (ones about sealife) series is being shown most nights on UKTVHISTORY at the moment.
Stuliasz Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 Yeh it makes excellent watching. Bought my Dad the Planet Earth box set for Christmas although now I've seen there is a super-boxset with Planet Earth and Blue Planet together.

Bought my Dad the Planet Earth box set for Christmas although now I've seen there is a super-boxset with Planet Earth and Blue Planet together. Yeah the superboxset looks amazing and is available from the bbc for under £100. I did receive a great book an animals from my brother, so perhaps I'll just read that. When I was watching last night, same Killer Whales (I think) ganged up on a mother and calf Blue Whale, drove them apart and then drowned the baby, only to eat its lower jaw and then leave it. I felt really sad.

Imagine doing as much as he's done in one lifetime. And with such enthusiasm and to such a terrific standard. I watch very little television but find all his programmes compelling.
Webbo Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 personally, when you've seen one wildlife programme, you've seen them all.
Poakey Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 Blue planet and Planet earth are both awesome. Play.coms your best bet.

He makes the programs in my opinion,if theres a nature program on i wait and if its atto then ill watch it,if not it just seems dull and its back to corro.
