Turtles Head Posted 30 January 2007 Posted 30 January 2007 Recently had my wing mirror smashed off. Any ideas how much this might set me back to repair? Still got the mirror itself, just the base of it which attaches to the car is bust

Turtles Head Posted 30 January 2007 Author Posted 30 January 2007 Its the actual fitting of it that i wondered about. Also (sad i know, but was already on the car when i bought it) its a custom mirror If its a stupid amount ill just opt for a 2nd hand one and go for the uneven mirror approach for a while
davieG Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 I had to replace mine ( Renault Scenic) couldn't get a second hand one as it was colour matched cost me £110 , I've paid less than that for a car in the past
Wils Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Mine took a bit of a battering the other day,i dont fancy paying that kind of money though.
The People's Hero Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 I don't use mine.. so if it's vaguely pepper red in colour and fiesta in shape, well, come and steal it, I probably won't even notice. You bounder!

You bounder! Why stop at the mirror? Just take the whole car. Then you don't have the fiddly business of attaching it to your old one!
The People's Hero Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Yeah - just be sure to leave me the one with no mirror.
Lord Nibblington Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Yeah - just be sure to leave me the one with no mirror. Or... you could just go and steal a new one yourself!
Turtles Head Posted 31 January 2007 Author Posted 31 January 2007 OK TPH only if you're sure. Not only has it no wing mirror, but until tomorrow also no clutch. Then ive got to get the thing through an MOT the next day and tax it the day after. Then it shall be sold Good times
Head Honcho Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 If they're electric it'll be about a ton to fit and replace one, otherwise get down the scrappy and buy a pair for £20 and fit them yourself(not as difficult as it sounds) or get them to fit them for ya for another £20
cisono Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 What's a wing mirror? Some fancy, useless device young drivers seem to use these days

Highly amusing!!
