davieG Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 As Usual. Makes you wonder why some people were sceptical about his MM Deal is Done headlines he's been posting every month Another deadline passes today as the seemingly interminable wait for the takeover of Leicester City drags on - and the true damage can clearly be seen. During the transfer window there have been no new players, no £150,000 for Joey Gudjonsson, no loans and no hint of anything in the pipeline, because the club is waiting to see how this whole thing pans out. Flynny Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 How does he keep his job? None of the sport pages in the Mercury are interesting in the slightest and often riddled with inaccuracies such as above.

Sly Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 I actually think if/when the takeover goes through we'll be looking for better players than Gudjonsson. We're more likely to sign people in the summer if the takeover goes through when we have MM choosen manager at the helm.
BartonFox Posted 31 January 2007 Share Posted 31 January 2007 Actually defending Bill here, at the time of press there was no hint of additions but the work of a certain individual behind the scenes made it all possible. Whether the signing are any good remains to be seen.

Geo V Posted 1 February 2007 Share Posted 1 February 2007 As Usual. Makes you wonder why some people were sceptical about his MM Deal is Done headlines he's been posting every month Typical. The Williams deal was in the Watford chronicle this morning so agreed late yesterday and he missed it. In his defence I doubt whether we would have bought anyone in had we not sold GW. Either way, today I be hacked off.

If he was as good as he thinks he is surely he would have known about the "work of a certain individual behind the scenes"?

Mort Posted 1 February 2007 Share Posted 1 February 2007 I wonder what Anderson will have up his sleeve for today's epic. Maybe the that the deal was done last week while we've signed O'Brien, Toderov and Holland.
