Ground share

So are we definitely sharing with the tigers next season? Seems to have gone very quiet and the last thing I heard was that the club were re-considering due to the fan back lash. Got a funny feeling it’s just going to happen and there will be nothing we can do about it.

Neither side can agree on primacy of tenure, and Teachers are not interested in releasing what is in their eyes a 'good debt'. It looks to me like it's dying a death, and even the Tiggers fan at work I almost throttled over this is starting to think maybe it would be in their best interests to build their own stadium elsewhere.

Well all I know is that law firm Wragge & Co are being asked to advise Leicester Tigers on the proposed move.

Wragge & Co. could hold a rugby match inside their offices in Birmingham, huge !!!

So what are you saying Lisa: that it is better to be indebted to a foregin financial institution rather than have a stake in our own stadium?

Has it ever crossed your mind what might happen if we were not in a position to service that debt? Has it ever occurred to you that Teachers might, one day, decide not to renew the lease with LCFC?

Co-ownership of The Walkers is in the best long term interests of LCFC & LFC. It is, relatively speaking, a low cost solution, that gives both entities security, collateral to borrow against as well as the opportunity to expand the stadium and improve its faciltities.

The Tigers are as much a part of our great city's heritage as LCFC is (in fact, if you bother to check local references you will see just how intertwined the fortunes of LCFC & LFC were in the early years). The clubs do not compete with each other, they complement one another. Many people, like myself, are season ticket holders at both.

And how many rent-a-mobbers did you get for your sit down protest against the groundshare Lisa? I reckon it was no more than er fifty. Out of a crowd of 20,000 plus thats ...ooh a whole 0.25%.

Still al least you managed to give our Tim a good 'decibeling' earlier on I hear. That'll 'learn' the hapless sod not to do another vox pop!

Oh here we go again, Mr Chandler and his 'greater than thou art' attitude.

Let's patronise the 'locals', and see what reaction we get. What a big man we are.

As for the history (which you infer I know nothing about), intertwined as it has been, especially in the early days, it tended to involve City being evicted by the Rugby team.

Well Lisa, my immediate response is that you are like a well adjusted Aussie - you've got a chip on both shoulders!

I think you sense my considered response. Your version of club history is tosh. The Tigers never evicted The Fosse/City out of any ground or facility. They outbid Fosse for the use of the Belgrave Road Sports ground in 1888 (I hope this possible irony is not lost on you and other thoughtless anti groundsharites).

If you feel patronised it is because much of what you say is all knee-jerk reaction(never let a little thought get in the way of a bit of prejudice eh?) And, for your information, I live locally (Oadby). However, I suggest that a move away for you (briefly) might cure your chronic small mindedness.

Somewhere big and cosmopolitan like er Hinckley might do the trick.

PS I'm being ironic Lisa.

But do you have to sound so nasty with your irony, it gets rather lost in amongst all the aggression. :o

What, because they dont employ anyone there tossers?

Need to think about what your saying, what bollocks that was.

Ever thought that they wern't good enough for the job?

Daniel - I have met lawyers from Wragge & Co, my mates have had interviews/assessments with them. I think that gives us enough right to slag them off. What do you even know about Wragge & Co anyway? You couldn't even apply there for a start cos you ain't got the qualifications.

And it's "they're" not "there".

So you have a minimum of ABB at A-Level and a 2.1 degree? All at the age of 17? Thought not.

Seeing as you obviously know so much about me, perhaps you'd like to tell me what to wear tomorrow.

I haven't eaten yet, perhaps you could help out?

You are a very sad and pathetic little man, and it doesn't surprise me one bit you live in 'Daily Mail Country'. Have you nothing better to do than use so-called irony to have digs at people who happen to have the temerity to argue with your own very 'small-minded' viewpoint?'

I await further character analysis, Mr Chandler, or should that be assasination?

Calm down Anish.

Daniel may have a point. It would be a strange legal practice that employed unsuitable people wouldn't it?

An assessment/interview/meeting doesn't give me the impression that someone would be slagging off objectively.

Of course I could be wrong, I'm just saying that Dan's perception of your post is understandable.

For the second time on this thread, Lisa, I note that you do not contest the points I make - you resort to pretty predictable insults. Don't get me wrong, I love the cut and thrust of abusive debate - but you've got to mop up the meat and gravy of serious discourse first BEFORE flinging the custard pies.

Twenty years ago I imagine that many of the denizens of this good borough (can't be sure - didn't live here then) would have scanned the pages of the 'world's most villainous newspaper (Trotsky -1926)'. But now it's all gone multi-cultural, everyone keeps to themselves so I can't tell whether they read high brow/low brow, right wing/left wing propaganda.

Tomorrow I would wear black (just in case). As for this evening; just binge. Get a loving faceful of all the unrefined carb and saturated fat that you can wave a stick at. Come 5.00pm tomorrow, life might not be worth living anyway.

PS I actually find your character quite appealing Lisa - you're a real feisty minx and a half!

Although I must say, we go for all 2 of the Guardian's that are available on weekdays! We shockingly normally get one! Shock horror! :o

There appears to be no point in offering any reasoned debate, as you clearly have your own views and seem unprepared to acknowledge those of others if they happen to differ.

Did you not ever find it funny when The Phantom Flan Flinger got his just desserts (excuse the pun)?

As for you, Lisa, you seem to be no different to the other humourless, lemon faced sourpusses on here (and there was I thinking you were a knock about kind of gal). I'd say read my last post again but I think you'd get screen blindness before the penny dropped so I really don't think you should.

As for the 'Phantom Flan Flinger getting his just desserts... all I can say to that is: 'c'mon honey I'm waiting!'

I'm so glad I fit in well with everyone else, Mr Chandler. I'd hate to stand out and get all the attention.
