Got 2 today which is awful. We could do with finding a similar UK site. The problem with this site is that it is a US site and has very few UK questions, thats why they keep repeating. Which means if you got 2 then you are particularly stupid
jaffa1970 Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 check the ip addresses of both players and then block it if it is found to be the same one..but guess that is up to a moderator or administrator admittedly i had a house mate who nearly got me blocked cos he watched me do my quiz then did his later, claiming he was not even in the tournament...no longer a housemate..but for more than just that bloody stupid effort..
Rincewind Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 What is the point in cheating? It's not as if Hairy is offering a million quid for the winner is it? The only person a cheat beats is him/her self. I can't remember the answers if a question is repeated especially if they are F1. I could write the questions down for future reference but that would take the fun out of a fun quiz. Even though I don't cheat at this I must admit I bend the rules at a PC game I have. It's a poker game and the goal is to pass certain reqiirements to advance to the next week/stage. Ie. win a certain amount or not lose all your money. If you don't save the game and restart then the loss is not recorded so only your wins are. I've not done this all the time my overall score is 61/62 win/loss but if the buy in is a lot I play until I win at the level. Now the question is, is this cheating?

I was going to put a daily quiz on if I was able. Thing is I want a free one. Anyway I'll find out from the PC help thread then add the link to my sig if it ever happens. I've set a Bravenet one up. When I have time I'll see if I can add a link. I have set up a MB a chatroom and a guestbook as well. No rules yet so no rudeness. Dont want to ban anyone before its oficially open.

I've put a link in the new website thread but I dont want to conflict with Hairy's. I've just used the default questions for now. I've played and am second (to Linuska) which is strange as it had only just been set up and I thought I was the only one signed up. The questions are pretty easy with no F1. Doodlebug Brain Challenge

Not very lucky with F1. got 10/10 in the DBC. I will change the questions when I get home in the morning I'm going to try and do a different catagory each time. This may give somebody who is good at something like films of winning. I'll see what happens anyway. I have found that I can set the quizes up for the week. Some may not like the catagories but I play it as well so I have the same chance of failure as everyone else. I just want as varied set of questions as possible.

I asked for an e-mail to be sent back confirming the password but it came back with another account's info (the account I use for Kens doodlebug challenge). Help

I kept getting invalid password. I am now logged into DBC. I'll try the above and will be back with an edit. That worked. I went to FTQ logged out. I was sent to a page with text at the top. I clicked the link and went back to the FT sign in page. I entered my DBC details and I swapped quizzes.
