Daggers Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 I have decided to give half the money I have made today laying horses to comic relief, if I loose on the day I will be donating £100 ...oh to have the blind faith of a gambler that "knows" he's going to win today
James. Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 I take a moral highground when it comes to Comic Relief. I try to give money to charity throughout the year for causes I feel strongly about instead of just every other year when Lenny "tell another joke and I swear to god I'll remove your head" Henry tells me to. That said I'll probably phone in a donation at some point soon.
fox123 Posted 16 March 2007 Author Posted 16 March 2007 ...oh to have the blind faith of a gambler that "knows" he's going to win today Im not actually toooo confident today, theres some real class running today!
Geo V Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 I havent actually done anything in aid of charity since I raised about £2k as an 18yo for Leicester Infirmary playing a 24hour snookerthon (tougher than you think ) but I`ll be phoning in making a donation. Infact, embarssingly, I dont know anyone who is actually doing something physically to raise extra funds for it!
Flynny Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 What's the point? Dressing up in a funny nose and wig isn't going to make a difference anyway. The amount of money raised sounds enormous on the night but then everyone pats themselves on the back and goes back to worrying about the repayments on their new fridge-freezer or whatever for another two years.

If everyone had that attitude less fortunate kids, wouldn't have a chance, people that raised the money should justifibly pat them selves on the back

Sheephead is a class keeper Yeah my college organised sponsored back massages. £5 for a 30 minute back massage, the whole amount going to Comic Relief. They invited Chris Moyles and his team, but he didn't bother with it ...

Geo V Posted 17 March 2007 Posted 17 March 2007 how much did comic relief raise? anyone know? It was just under £40 when I fell asleep. at Ricky Gervais the prat, I actually believed the first part of his "serious" report. Also, Borat was funny despite having heard the same jokes 10 times.

Simi Posted 17 March 2007 Posted 17 March 2007 Indeed they were. Wouldn't stay on and were poor quality compared to last years version. Unimpressed. Plus the stickers would not stick.
lcfc_jme Posted 17 March 2007 Posted 17 March 2007 Plus the stickers would not stick. Didn't manage to get a sticker. I was impressed by the wigs though. They were awesome. I wasn't lucky enough to get on of those either though.
Simi Posted 17 March 2007 Posted 17 March 2007 At break our school had a massive conga line. Even the odd GIVE ME A D - I - S - C - O came out. The teachers did not seem to impressed.

It's break-time, and it's Red Nose Day! You'd have thought they'd lighten up a bit wouldn't you? Miserable so-and-so's!!
