no nothing to do with history, the one i stopped doing was on louis althusser and social theory, i have started a new one and its on youth culture and musical influences.

and i should of started it takes me about 4 drafts to get the bloody things half decent.

be easier if they gave us essays on what our course is actually on (sports journalism) its annoying having to do things i have no interest in, ah well.....back to it i guess

Same here... I'd start at 8pm work through the night, then hand it in 5 minutes before the dead-line!! Those were the days!!

My mate last year realized he had a week to do two 5,000 word essays he hadn't started, ha.

He spent 6 days researching and writing one and did the other in one night and did better in it.

i used to get drunk to do essays, you write a lot and don't care how it sounds, obviously don't do this if you're expecting to go far in life.
