Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 March 2007 Author Posted 25 March 2007 Looks very impressive It is. It's impossible to sum up what it felt like to get to my seat, turn round and look out over the stadium. It really is an incredible place. Shame most of my photos came out blurred. Cracking game too.

Jay Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 going to be one hell of an atmosphere when that place is full for a big match!!
Webbo Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 Looks very impressive at £757 million it ought to be.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 March 2007 Author Posted 25 March 2007 going to be one hell of an atmosphere when that place is full for a big match!! That is the best part. Obviously with it being an Under-21s game and less than two-thirds full the atmosphere wasn't an issue yesterday but when a few chants did get going they were pretty loud. It really holds the noise in. It blew my mind to think about a play-off final there. The main thing I came away thinking was that I'd prefer Derby to go up automatically than to win the first play-off final there!! I just hope we get to see Leicester there in a Championship play-off final some time soon. Because of the way the roof is and the steep upper tier, a bit like the Millennium Stadium, it keeps the noise in.The atmosphere for big games in that place will be immense. Another thing to mention is the legroom. You've got enough room to swing a cat, which would probably be preferable to watching an England game anyway. Oh and the escalators up to the upper tier! And the "no cameras" sign, which was enforced by a bloke asking you whether you had a camera after coming through the turnstiles.
Coxy Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 Its almost as good as the Walkers. I wouldn't go that far but seriously looks very nice.
lcfc_jme Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 Looks mightily impressive, which it should do for the price! I hope we get our act together and get to play there some time soon. I'd love to go there and watch us play.

lcfc_jme Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 don't hold your breath. I don't intend to! I may not even be alive the next time we get to play at Wembley!
Leonisco Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 Those are some amazing pics. I'm surprised at how good the view looks from the upper tier, I thought you'd be miles away but the view's great. Cannot wait to go.

I'd love to go there and watch us play. Even if we did get there, non of our fans could afford the ticket to watch the game anyway
lcfc_jme Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 Even if we did get there, non of our fans could afford the ticket to watch the game anyway I'd make sure I could afford it. There's no way I'll miss out on us playing at the new Wembley. But then again, we have to get there first. And that isn't really likely is it?
lcfc_jme Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 Andy mind if I ask exactly what it is that the new Wembley Stadium has done to you?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 March 2007 Author Posted 25 March 2007 Fez did you try the £20 prawn sandwhiches? You've got a real chip on your shoulder about the prices ain'tcha? The price of food is obviously ridiculous (£4 for a jacket potato is the only one I can remember) but the answer is ridiculously obvious - eat before you go. The old Wembley was the same. Programmes yesterday were £3 and the girl I was with bought the last seven from a seller who had a massive, massive queue. lol What a cracker. Maybe this is being optimistic but I think the FA will have to be seen to be keeping an eye on ticket prices with the recent season ticket reductions at many clubs. They made the game yesterday a tenner and this could be seen as a signal of intent. I'd be surprised if the play-off final tickets cost a bomb. But to be honest, I'd pay a good £50 to see Leicester in that stadium. It would be one of the best days of my life and you can't really put a price on events like that.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 March 2007 Author Posted 25 March 2007 Andy mind if I ask exactly what it is that the new Wembley Stadium has done to you? I know! He's acting like it's shagged his sister. Which, if it has, well, hats off. Good effort.

Floating Fox Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 Andy mind if I ask exactly what it is that the new Wembley Stadium has done to you? It's everything wrong with modern football.
