Advertising Boards

They were only there for the Sky cameras. If you noticed the camera view, the game was being viewed with the cameras viewing the West stand. The advertising boards you're on about were only in front of the West stand.

Yes but the game was viewed from the east stand on Sky. The other cameras are there for reverse angle replays etc.

Yeah the normal boards were still there, the electronic one was just placed infront though.

damn  I thought that being able to have more advertisment would give us more money :(

I suppose in theory it would, We get money for being on Sky.

I doubt they had anything to with Sky although they were obviously there because we were on Sky.

My view would be we paid off the 'normal' hidden advertisers knowing that we would get more revenue for a one off basis from Coca Cola. This was possible to do because MM doesn't have the cash flow problems and business restrictions of the previous board.

ok so what about a video screen? fratton park got 2 nice flatscreens with MM there - watch goal replays etc. then.

Where would they go?? Corners of grounds?? Pretty much anywhere would block someone's view.

Southampton have a screen hanging below the score boards if i remember rightly? And there ground is designed the same as ours.

Well as quoted below we hardly fill the ground so put a TV in one corner, close the corner off there you go (Probably the one where Fusions Resturant would be the best one)

Stadium is never full anyway we might aswell use it in place of some seats

Exactly.

Whats the point of a TV screen?

There to watch the footy not tv! :frusty:

Replays, You think its a Penalty but not sure? They'll show the replay on the TV. You missed the goal or it was so good you want to see it again instead of waiting till the next day for the highlights? They'll show the replay on the TV. e.t.c

£2mill on screens or £2mill on players to try and get out of this awful league.

It's a no brainer.

Well obviously, players, but i'm talking for the future. Priority is on the pitch, but once we have that sorted - Although can't see it being a very easy or a near soloution to that.

They probably wouldn't even be able to do that, Cov had one and all they did was play adverts and then show about 5 mins of the game before 15 mins of adverts.

Can't see the point of them myself.

Teams aren't allowed to show offside penalty decisions etc.

Really?

Why is that?

At the Tottenham v Man Utd match i'm sure they shown a penalty decision that was turned down (I think) during H/T because it was on Sky and if I remember right Richard Keys said something like "They've just shown the penalty decision on the big screen and it hasn't gone down too well with the fans"
