lookwhaticando Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 ... apparently he's blobbed two penalties for Sunderland in the space of a minute. The first one was a handball committed by Wayne Thomas... 30 seconds later Thomas fouled Connolly in the box. Sounds like Connolly put both penalties in the bottom left and had them both saved. Sauce.

Matt Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 C'Mon Sunderland! Sunderland and Brum win, Derby lose on Sunday, Sunderland and Brum are Auto Promoted right?! Plus if Sunderland win still keeps Derby at bay leaving them in the Playoffs!
Matt Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 I think the pressure getting to Sunderland and there falling at the final fence! Sunderland 1 - 2 Burnley!
00rawat Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 Guess what it's David Connolly wow what a game he is haveing.
DB11 Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 I wish we'd kept Connolly. He's scored and he's been running around all game. He set up Sunderland's first goal and he's a good all rounder. The save was really good by the keeper and it was put in the bottom right hand corner. O btw - the site is mistaken as there was only one penalty and it was supposed to be a 'foul' but there was no foul whatsoever Burnley shouldn't have had a penalty either tbh
Matt Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 Leicester Rejects, Leicester Rejects Woah Woah! Connolly, Akinbadbiyi, Gudjohnsson. Yeah Connolly and Gudjohnsson wern't bad players for us but still...Leicester rejects, Leicester rejects Woah Woah!

I'd prefer it if Derby still had something to play for when they play Leeds as we might need them to do us a favour C'mon Burnley!
Matt Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 I'd prefer it if Derby still had something to play for when they play Leeds. Why? Hopefully Leeds will be relegated tommorrow, Thus us being safe, and even if Leeds ain't relegated tommorrow, hopefully we will be safe after getting atleast a draw tommorrow! Then Derby get well and truly fooked by the recently relegated Leeds.

Then Derby get well and truly fooked by the recently relegated Leeds. That's right, but taking it one game at a time I want Burnley to win tonight to keep up Derby's interest in an automatic place. It's all 'ifs and buts' today but tomorrow night Leeds might have lost, Hull might have won and then I'll be rooting for Leeds to beat Derby! Safety for City first! If that means Derby going up then so be it (does that make any sense whatsoever!!)
Filbert_Ross Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 my desire for leeds to go down outweighs my desire for Derby not to go up.
Wycombe Fox Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 my desire for leeds to go down outweighs my desire for Derby not to go up. Same here!

Yeah but if Sunderland win tonight, Derby can still keep Automatic dreams alive with a win on Sunday but equally could kill the automatic dreams with a loss on Sunday, AND THERE WE FOOKING GO! Sunderland 3 - 2 Burnley! GET IN! Anyway, so a Sunderland win is what we want.
