Allardyce resigns

Coleman to Bolton sounds realistic...

Seems like Allardyce resigned with the hope of going to Man City (Newcastle if that doesn't work) or he knows something about the England job we don't!

Don't understand why he would resign now though...surely give the fans the chance to say goodbye and see the team into Europe before you leave! Very weird. If the news leaked he could just announce that he's leaving at the end of the season, no reason to do it now.

Is this some kind of reality TV series being put up?

I thought of something similar a few months ago... Manager Swap.

This week, Aidy Boothroyd of Watford fame changes places with Jose Loudmouth of West London... etc etc. lol

I think Coleman might end up at Bolton.

I might put money on that, too. lol

We could be headed for a bit of a managerial merry-go-round at the end of the season.

Kelly to toon.

I'm not too surprised, for a club of Boltons size they've massively over-achieved in recent years and I feel hes taken them as far as he can with the resources they have, and I think he acepts they're not going to break into the top 4, and he fancies a new challenge. He's done an unbelievable job for Bolton.

Think he'll be the man charged with the task of getting Newcastle challenging for the title again.

He'll end up at the Geordie I think. He wants to go to a bigger club and with him at the helm he can make them into aa good side again.

It's precisely because they were interviewed for England that makes them dismissable.

Besides... if you were Allardyce, would you leave Bolton for Leicester when only 12 months ago you were being interviewed for perhaps the top management job in the country? A job he publicly stated he would truly love to do?

Pearce would hope for another shot in the Premiership if he's sacked...

So too Coleman.

Allardyce has done special stuff for Bolton... and Pearce/Coleman haven't completely failed in the Premiership... so they all stand good chances of being re-employed up there.

They're being dismissed because they're almost certainly out of our reach. Big Sam is definitely out of reach, and that's a fact.

Depends how much Allardyce wants a challange. He could prove even more than he already has what a top manager he is...

I got laughed at for saying it yesterday but I stick by it, Why not have a try at bringing him here? He can only say no!

It's almost certainly a waste of time asking, but you never know... he might have been hit over the head with a mallet the day we phone him! :P

He can prove he's a top manager by turning around another club at the top - if he could get Newcastle back towards the top four as opposed to bottom four, he'd cement his reputation... if he can push them further in the cups and provide a serious challenge to the top four, he'd prove he's the top manager people suspect him to be after his time at Bolton.

He doesn't need to promote a second team from the Championship to the Premiership... what he needs to do is shake things up at a Premiership club. He's beyond the inter-divisional stuff - managers who get teams challenging in the top 6 or 7 each season don't drop a division to prove themselves.

I'd love it if he came here, I think he's a great manager... but I'm not going to pretend we stand a chance in hell of him coming. lol

Oh Jesus! Not more names for people to quibble over.

The sooner Milan sorts out the managers job the happier I'm going to be...I swear if I read one more post about how Coleman is a great manager and should be our next boss I am going to....I will...well, I'm not sure what I'm going to do but it won't be nice.

Oh... right.

Yeah... that is a bit silly.

I suspect they want some kind of magician - Ken Dodd or Tommy Cooper perhaps - someone to pull promotion out of their magical hat.

Failing to appoint Tommy Cooper - who died many years ago, obviously - they'll settle for Moaninho or Ferguson. lol

You never know... they might fancy a challenge.

Let's not forget Ince... Grayson... Pearce... Newell  ... Adams - Micky and/or Tony...

Looking at it from a distance it would seem that Leicester could well have Worthington appointed full time next season. He's saved us and got us up the table considerably and now with the Premiership merry-go-round none of the top managers are likely to come here...

I REALLY don't want Newell as manager... that is the only thing that I REALLY don't want... ANYBODY but Newell...
