Leicfox Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 The Boy with No Name is the fifth studio album by Scottish alternative rock band Travis. The name of the album came about when lead singer Francis Healy and his partner Nora were deciding on a name for their newly born son. During this time, he sent a photo of his son to friend by email and labeled the photo "The Boy with No Name". Healy revealed this on the The Chris Moyles Show during an interview. Healy has also revealed in pre-album release performances that some tracks are influenced by his developing family status, such as "My Eyes" being about his new son or "Battleships" referring to ups and downs of relationships. Travis return to form with this imo, Closer is a cracker, and i believe will be they're 1st single off it too.
Craig Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 Each to their own. Some people like Travis, others like music.
Leicfox Posted 4 May 2007 Author Posted 4 May 2007 Maybe ive been alittle to generous saying its a return to form ? Would only liking 3 songs on a 12 track album class as a return to form, i doubt it. Anyway tracks i like.... Selfish Jean Closer Eyes Wide Open (Probably my fav).
MC Prussian Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 A few good tracks (maybe 3 to 4 out of the 12), the rest is completely dull, uninspiring bedtime music.

Flynny Posted 4 May 2007 Posted 4 May 2007 Travis are basically Radiohead with the good bits sucked out. Coldplay are Travis with a little bit more taken out.
