MON Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 No sportsmanship shown by him. I am dissapointed. Another awful game as well from him. But he cheated us to an equaliser. I didnt celebrate the goal today. CHEAT CHEAT CHEAT
MON Posted 5 February 2005 Author Posted 5 February 2005 The play was stopped when Crewe had the ball. This was because stewart was injured. The ball was at the half way line. Joey was seemingly going to pass it back to the keeper. But he hits it for touch on the left hand side, near the corner flag. Crew take the throw and are put under pressure by us. They never be able to clear and we score. All due to the fact that Joey showed no sportsmanship. Well done to Crewe for not complaining, I for one, would have.
Scarby Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Maybe he missed kicked it!! But that is wrong! lets start Williams and Hughes next week!
Guest Daniel Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Brilliant thinking Joey, you got us a point today.

If you don't celebrate a goal your team scores, i cant say you're a true fan.

Don't talk to me about being a true fan Petrescu. I can just as easily say that your not a ture fan.
dan_84 Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 whats wrong with you, he gave them possesion back which is the sporting thing to do. well done joey, the only disgrace on the pitch today was the referee

I'm sure we went at least 2-3 minutes before we scored after Joey put the ball out for a throw in?
Guest Daniel Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 It wasn't cheating , it was intelligent football 63085[/snapback] Excatly, you moan when we score? Pathetic.
MON Posted 5 February 2005 Author Posted 5 February 2005 It was cheating in my opinion. And i don't moan when we score. I felt it was a goal brought about from cheating. I will show you a post from the 606 messageboard: Cheating Foxes alexbarmy - 30th post - 5 Feb 2005 17:49 So much for sportsmanship. Leicester score in the same way as Arsenal did against Sheff Utd. You should have given us a goal, exactly as Yeovil did earlier this season when they scored after a player was injured. YOU BUNCH OF CHEATS, YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE BUST. [reply] [Complain about this post] re: Cheating Foxes Joe Lewis (LE2 Rams) - 4542nd post - 5 Feb 2005 17:51 It was out of order what happened but is it cheating though? Bad sportsmanship yes, cheating no. [reply] [Complain about this post] re: Cheating Foxes alexbarmy - 31st post - 5 Feb 2005 17:52 Cheating or bad sportsmanship - it still cost us two points [reply] [Complain about this post] re: Cheating Foxes Joe Lewis (LE2 Rams) - 4552nd post - 5 Feb 2005 17:54 I think a draw was fair on the balance of play, but the way they scored the goal was a choker. We don't call them dirty, cheating Foxes for nowt you know! [reply] [Complain about this post] re: Cheating Foxes Pardew'sWorriedBestMate - 926th post - 5 Feb 2005 17:54 Funny thing is they'll get in the Play Offs by a point and end up getting promoted. That's the way life is. Cheats prosper. [reply] [Complain about this post] re: Cheating Foxes mackem_KSâ„¢ - 5986th post - 5 Feb 2005 17:53 What do you expect from a team Lloyd supports! Leicester_Mad Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 what was wrong? there isnt a law saying that he has to give it back...get over it you petty fool
kenny Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 He did it because he felt (so did i) that stewart was fouled, and we did not get the kick. Hence he was slightly cheeky and gave them the ball back in a crap place, blame the poor refereeing today not joey. Also when lunt was injured they had pressured possesion in a dangerous place and then the linesman instructed gillespie to throw the ball to ince, so that evened it up.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 MON needs to stop moaning like an old woman and start thinking positive. 1-1 now lets get on with our lives. Pathetic!
Anish Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Joey did exactly the right thing imo. We were losing and we needed to get back into the game. This is competitive football at a professional level we are talking about - not a friendly kick in the park. Technically he gave the ball back to them because they ended up with a throw in...just in a bad position. It's not our fault that they (Crewe) can't keep possession from their own throw-in. Besides, Joey was not poor today - yes his shooting was a joke but his all round play was quite good and his passing has improved a lot in recent weeks. I would say he was our best player today along with Connolly...although that's not saying much.
City Fan Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 The goal was a good few mintues after that incident. Stop whinging like an old woman, MON. I laughed when I saw what Gudjonsson did, it was very clever.....
TrickyTrev Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 I agree with MON, it was extremely dissapointing to see. It was all made worse by nthe fatc he couldn't pass the ball all match and his shooting is ridiculous.
pafcfan10 Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 You should have given us a goal, exactly as Yeovil did earlier this season when they scored after a player was injured. that was the most sportsmanship event i have seen in football if it makes you feel any better bjarni played brilliant again today
emmalcfc Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 We were loosing, and if the free-kick had been rewarded (which IMO Stewart was fouled) we would have had some sort of a chance of goal. Joey gave them possession back, probably not what they were expecting, but still. If there was anything wrong with what Joey had done, surely Crewe would have been awarded a free-kick. They weren't, its obviously acceptable, so why complain?
Sparky Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 mon your a discrace ! you clearly havnt got a **** clue about this game of ours.
Katy Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 From where I was sitting it did look like he possibly mis-kicked it but MON is right about Joey being a disgrace if only for his shocking performance today - the guy just gets worse!
Wellman Posted 5 February 2005 Posted 5 February 2005 Joey, what a legend! Joey had a good game today for us I fell, his shooting was awful but overall he did well. So MON, you haven't got a clue
