Joey, what a legend! Joey had a good game today for us I fell, his shooting was awful but overall he did well. So MON, you haven't got a clue  :banana:

I agree - I can't understand how people can slate Joey when there were players who were far worse today. But we all see the same game differently I suppose...

I dont know who started this thread I think it was MON, if not then I am sorry to MON! But get a life mate!!! What about when there goalie kicked the ball back off the pitch to timewaste near the end so that they could get a point? thats just as bad as what joey did!! bet you dont see their fans going ' i wasnt happy with the point, if it wasnt for ince time wasting leicester might have won. disgraceful'

Haven't read all the replies, so here's my reply to the original post.

MON you're the biggest dickhead this club has supporting them. Did you not notice Stewart get elbowed or pushed off of the ball? That's how he got injured yes? Blatant free kick, we didn't get it.

They could easily have cleared the ball, but didn't. #### off and support someone else.

Well done Joey. Good performance today.

I really don't see why this is being made a big deal out of, is it just because we scored a couple of minutes afterwards? This happened no end of times to us last season (and we did it a few times then as well) and no-one complained.

It all evens itself out over the space of a season and even the space of a game. It's not like Ince kept on asking for different balls when they had goal kicks to waste time was it? It's not like Crewe were obstructing our players all through the first half without punishment but they were awarded freekicks for the same things in the second half was it? We 'cheated' in a way that led to the goal but we've had bad luck and incidents go against us for the majority of the season and I don't blame Joey if he's gained a little bit of luck for us today by 'cheating'. Sometimes you make your own luck. Oh and remember, Gilly still had to put it away with his left foot and for a right winger who hasn't scored for three years, that's not an easy task. :)

My take on it for what it's worth

Stewart was fouled, the ref didn't give it; but stopped play to allow for the injury

Joey mishit it, but hey why should we expect his passing to be top notch for the oppo when it was appalling for us.

The throw was pretty much where the orginal 'foul' took place.

Crewe could easily have cleared the ball

Remember the goal was scored on the opposite side of the pitch

All in all we gained some minute initial benefit from the incident, but still had to create the goal in what was a packed part of the pitch.

I'm all for fair play but I don't think there wasn't any intent on Joey's behalf.

As for the Crewe comments I think that is just sour grapes.
