Tevez Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 German coach Gunter Zittel has been appointed as coach of Madagascar, little more than a week before they travel to Ivory Coast for a Nations Cup qualifier. It is the first major appointment for the 55-year-old, who has previously worked as an instructor for the German Football Federation. He also worked as an assistant coach at Bundesliga side 1860 Munich in the 1990s. Zittel's appointment is expected to be short term as Madagascar have just two matches left in the qualifiers for the 2008 Nations Cup finals. They are already out of the race for a place at the tournament in Ghana. This is a very good appointment in my opinion. Up the madagascar.
