Rincewind Posted 28 May 2007 Posted 28 May 2007 not seen the first one yet but the second was about the beginning of glam-rock. It showed Pink Floyd in the early days and Velvet Underground. Apparrently Syd Barrett was off his head most of the time. The later artists influenced by the early stuff were David Bowie and Bryan Ferry. The next programme should be good. Punk Rock. A bit of Syd Vicious and Sex Pistols will brighten up your day.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 29 May 2007 Posted 29 May 2007 Britpop for you is a bit like 'The FA' for SUAS innit? I suppose I was a bit harsh as there were some good bands for the Britpop era including Longpigs, Ocean Colour Scene, Pulp (although they'd been around a lot longer before Britpop, plus same can be said for The Charlatans), Supergrass and Dodgy.

The Floyd and early Bowie aren't really my thing but I'm looking forward to the rest of the series,
Ultra Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 The one on punk on Saturday was excellent. John Lydon was on particularly good form. May give the heavy metal episode a miss, though..
