Gené and Tonic Posted 20 June 2007 Posted 20 June 2007 No way. He is a lower league player full stop.
Leonisco Posted 20 June 2007 Posted 20 June 2007 Martin's surely not stupid enough to actually consider buying this donkey... ... is he?
Charnwood Norris Posted 20 June 2007 Posted 20 June 2007 No, please, not Clive Platt, he'll be no different to Mark de Fries - about 8/9 goals in 40 games or a '1 in 4' kind of striker....not a good enough ratio if you look at Platts stats on wiki. We need a 18+ goals a season striker, Hume has that potential, I can't see it in Cort, who's always been about 11 a season.
MPH Posted 20 June 2007 Posted 20 June 2007 what! now hes good! get him in milan! 76 goals in 126! Maybe if court is so injury prone, we need another big limp like clive platt as back up. aside from that, i quite like the idea also of him coming on for last 20 minutes... can you imagine him, cort and kippe in the box wiaitng for a corner to be floated in?
Ric Flair Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 @BartonfoxCan you be sure? I think Barton knows people from MK Dons, so he's likely to know.
Daggers Posted 29 June 2007 Posted 29 June 2007 I think Barton knows people from MK Dons, so he's likely to know. That explains why he gets so touchy every time it is pointed out that they aren't a real team.

I believe he does have undoubted quality though (if he can stay fit). I think his career could of worked out alot better than it did.
