The People's Hero Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 The Medway towns and North Kent are dumps but they have their nice parts to be fair. It's not much different to Sussex, for any time you mention Dartford/a Medway town, I'll raise you a Hailsham and Hastings. Fair comment. Hastings is nasty. Is Margate in Kent? If so, I think Kent is worse though. In fact. Kent IS worse. Fact.
Lord Nibblington Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Fair comment.Hastings is nasty. Is Margate in Kent? If so, I think Kent is worse though. In fact. Kent IS worse. Fact. Magate is in Kent. Also, don't forget our trump card. Chatham.
Kent Fox Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 I live in a nice part - but everywhere else sucks! Margate is in Kent and you can ride donkeys there. and the horsey type things on the beach....
Fez of Mahrez Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 I bet Stoke and Wolves don't have in-depth discussions about Kent on their messageboards. I reckon this might swing him our way lads. Keep it up.
The People's Hero Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 I live in a nice part - but everywhere else sucks!Margate is in Kent and you can ride donkeys there. and the horsey type things on the beach.... I've heard Elvis is considering a lucrative offer to work down at Margate on the beach during this summer season. Thinking about it, compared to a lot of Kent, Maidstone is actually okay.
Lester LXXIV Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Fair comment.Hastings is nasty. Is Margate in Kent? If so, I think Kent is worse though. In fact. Kent IS worse. Fact. I have been to Priestfield, my mate was linesman and so I went with him. They played pompey when Rix was manager and he'd hit the headlines for whatever reason it was! I'm in West Sussex now which is just full of pretentious <sp> snobs!! <_<
The People's Hero Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 NO way TPH - You're just used to it So ermm.. where should I live? I can't believe Kent still has the tag of Garden of England. Pah.
Kent Fox Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Correct - it does have that tag but its not deserved. Maidstone used to be ok but it has gone downhill I think. Where should you live? I dunno. Kent sucks..
Lord Nibblington Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Correct - it does have that tag but its not deserved.Maidstone used to be ok but it has gone downhill I think. Where should you live? I dunno. Kent sucks.. When was Maidstone ever ok?
Lester LXXIV Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Tunbridge Wells is meant to have a good pub crawl!!
Lord Nibblington Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Tunbridge Wells is meant to have a good pub crawl!! Tunbridge Wells was fairly rubbish the last time I went there. That was a good 5 or so years ago now, though.
Kent Fox Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Maidstone was ok about 10 years ago. Tunbridge Wells - nice name, pikey peeps. I worked there for a couple of years. Trust me - it's not good. Gillingham however is good for a pub crawl..

Kent Fox Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 You might be right... Praps I spent too many drunken nights in Strawberry Moons
The People's Hero Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 You might be right...Praps I spent too many drunken nights in Strawberry Moons Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear oh dear.
Lord Nibblington Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Oh dear.Oh dear oh dear oh dear oh dear. I can only concur with you, but in a slightly different turn of phrase. Deary Deary me.
Lord Nibblington Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Don't all people in Kent live with thier parents? Good point. It's why there's such a housing crises down South. With everyone living with their parents, there's only about 1000 homes per town. Or something.
Leonisco Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Let's be fair. The Garden of England, is, quite frankly, a dump. Shouldn't that be franckly?
The People's Hero Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Shouldn't that be franckly? Yes - yes it should. (welcome to the fold).
Leonisco Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Yes - yes it should.(welcome to the fold). Glad to be on board. As long as it doesn't involve Franck Leboeuf. Fooking diving tosser.
The People's Hero Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 We should put together a team of Franck's. One stipulation - Rolling is captain.
Kent Fox Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 I'd like Franck N Furter in the team. He (she) (it) would be enough to put off any defender! And if I push it a bit - can my Mr Furter play alongside Patrick Burger (sic)? They'd both cut the mustard.... Assuming Franck could ketch up
Lord Nibblington Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Glad to be on board. As long as it doesn't involve Franck Leboeuf. Fooking diving tosser. He's a trixy fellow. Sometimes he calls himself Franck, othertimes Frank. I say we should take him out back and shoot him. With a Rubber Band. In eye. Repeatedly,
