Kent Fox Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 No worries. Can I be teacher's pet? I'll give you an apple a day? Or whatever your favourite tipple is in a thermos flask? Speaking of tipples.. I tried a G&T again this weekend. I'm determined to like it. But it's still horrible. A very acquired taste needed. Took me about 25 years of drinking to like it. Now I can't remember.
Daggers Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 A very acquired taste needed. Took me about 25 years of drinking to like it. Now I can't remember. Having apologised for posting after one of your posts - I need to point out that the one before this one was not intended to herald your coming. Gin and tonic is the drink of champions - I miss it like a departed friend.
Kent Fox Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Not many have heralded my coming (sadly) in the past so I take your point. TPH - If G&T does not satisfy, try V&T. Same effect, no taste.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 I don't even enjoy V&T...Maybe it's the T which I don't like. You should stop using tea. I think it's meant to be tonic.
The People's Hero Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 You should stop using tea. I think it's meant to be tonic. No, it's definitely tea. Maybe the V is supposed to be Viagra. Yeah... that's where I'll be going wrong.
The People's Hero Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Maybe they are lady parts? Dagman. When 13423 Does y8yi327362 The 32787e8 Coup 2387287 Begin? Haha! They'll never break our code!

The People's Hero Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 We have to seize power. Not only have the idiots taken over the asylum - they're multiplying and starting polls and stuff. Have I spelt seize correctly? Seize. Sieze. Hmmm.
The People's Hero Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007    (That'll be 30p) Thought I got mate's rates. Seriously, I could get 3 chomps for that (1995).
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Thought I got mate's rates.Seriously, I could get 3 chomps for that (1995). Who directed that? (it looks like a film with a year after it)

The People's Hero Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Who directed that? (it looks like a film with a year after it) Keith Chegwin and his mate Chief Kegwin.

I tried a G&T again this weekend. I'm determined to like it. But it's still horrible. Sure, feel free to be teacher's pet - you are one of a very select few (you even use apostrophes correctly - hurrah! ). However, apple vs favourite tipple is a tricky one to call - apple.... alcohol.... apple.... alcohol????!!! No contest really. G&T is indeed, evil stuff though.... ugghh . Try Vodka instead (with pretty much anything!) Bingo. You after my job again... spelling corrections!?
The People's Hero Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I'll back this campaign. Right. Good. You're in charge. Well done. Can you do pithy? Can you teach me pithy?
The People's Hero Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Save the whales. Yeah yeah. But we're killing those pesky letti/letii/lettuces... Right?
The People's Hero Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Whales are shit. You're thinking of Wales mate. Whales were the original inhabitants of Wales. But they left... preferring the icy cold sea.
Lord Nibblington Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I've not been on a bandwagon since the days of Franck. I want in.

To be honest, I'm not at all surprised. It must have been a right bastard chasing plankton up Snowdon with nothing but a big tail. I guess if they'd had the little Ffestiniog railway back then they may have shuned the waves. That's what you get for being hasty choosing your biological niche I guess.
