Scarby Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 After todays loss, do you guys still think the Leicester make the top 6 this season! I personally think it is going to be far too hard and im expecting the worse. I think we should on building the squad up for next season now! What do you think?
Matt Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 Nope we won't reach the playoffs and even before this results I havn't been kiding myself that we'll get in the top 6 like some people either! You find a post from me, posted back in the summer (I think I posted it on here anyway) and it will have said before the season had even started we were/were turning into a average mid-table division 1 team...looks like i'm right
Mark Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 No we can't, but we're playing better as a team so well done to Levein. He had such a big mess to sort out. People need to wait to the Summer before judging him, but that seems a bit hard for some. The shit will be gone and his players will be here, and Coventry will be relegated
TrickyTrev Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 I voted yes because I thought the question was are the play offfs out of reach? So re-reading the question my answer would be no. I think we need to concentrate on rebuiliding the squad between now and the end of the season so that we can have a real go at automatic promotion next season. Hopefully this will mean blooding some younsters and getting the new players settled into the side.
Anish Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 I don't think we are capable of making the playoffs this season, especially after today. But the signs are looking good for next seaosn.
Wellman Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 Can't see us getting into the playoff's. Still should have a go and that should be our goal I reckon. Atleast top 10 finish please boys!
Simon Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 I've said for a long while now that top 10 should be our aim. I very much doubt we'll make the play-offs, although if we cut out the defensive errors the who knows, we may just sneak in... its probably to early to say with any certainty but I dont think we'll make them.
Collymore Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 Its amazing how pessimistic people get after a loss. I feel the future is bright at the moment even though we lost today. Ipswich aren’t top of the league cause of fluke, teams that can play bad and still pick points deserve to be there. I feel that we have a very realistic chance of making the playoffs. You can forgive us for losing today. That’s judge us when we next lose against a crap opposition.
foxesfan69 Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 Come on lads, be optimistic. It's no disgrace to lose 2-1 to Ipswich is it. Look on the bright side of defeat. We scored and Jordan Stewart scored !! We can push on after our impressive start to 2005 and we can still hope for the play-offs. They are not beyond us just yet.
Guest Daniel Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 No we can't make it now, too late and not showing enough class.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 I've still not given up hope of the Playoffs. If the fans don't think it's possible then why should the players? They should just give in now and not bother because there's no chance anymore? Well there's still a chance because it's still mathematically possible so they shouldn't give up and we shouldn't give up on them. I'm not stupid though. The way they've been playing it's very unlikely but where there's a will there's a way and if we still believe then they might believe in themselves. I should be going to Belvoir Drive at some stage this week so I'll be able to judge what the atmosphere in the camp is compared to when Levein had only just taken over. I'll also be able to see what different training methods they're using. Should be interesting.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 i dont think you can one step too far. maybe next season

Now the players are actually trying to earn there money again but they have only got themselves to blame when they miss out on there bonuses and pay rises!
Anish Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 I also think we can 66078[/snapback] Eh - you told me on msn that we ain't got a chance to make the play-offs.
MON Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 there is a chance that we will reach the play offs. but I don't think we will get anywhere near them.
Hoof Fox Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 Realistically I dont think we can make it, not being pessimistic, I think the signs of improvement are very positive and the important thing for me is that their appears to be a long term approach being taken, a lot of the good work being done by CL and his backroom staff now will provide an excellent springboard for next season, at the moment it is a massive learning curve for both the new management team and the playing staff.
