O'Neill came on at left back second half and Adam Vasey I think must have been the ginger haired right sider according to Teeno and that match report.

Yeah it was Adam Vasey!

He is only 16, just finished year 11, and has huge potential!

Quality day out again and the rain stayed away :D

Stearman and N Gotty looked a very good parntership I thought, solid throughout and never looked in any danger, except when Neilsen dropped that cross !

Hammond, awful again. Constantly falling over and giving when he doesn't get the ball where he wants it. De Vries looked much the man he did at Hearts but has still got a lot to do to be considered a first teamer.

Weso and Kishishev also look a good pairing in the centre, both passed the ball well and consistantly.

At the end of the game we saw Jimmy, a few people shouted random stuff about gambling, he seemed to take it well. Although I guess it's not something he likes to be reminded of.

Bring on Hinckley.

I would give Martin Allen +1 for today's outcome.

That is not just for the wins which were welcome but not particularly convincing and not especially important.

Half a that mark is given for the two wins the other half for finding some important things out (particularly by playing N'Gotty/Stearman together) but also for involving so many players in mixed seniority teams.

Nothing could have enphasised our club spirit more than mixing young players so readily with seniors and taking this first opportunity of letting those youngsters gain valuable match-time experience of playing with the best people in the club and in front of decent attendances.

It could be said that the message went out to the youngsters that this is the standard you need to achieve, to the seniors that these are the kids who'll be chasing your job but to me the emphasis was on togetherness - all for one and one for all.

It also gave fans a great opportunity of indentifying with all who play for Leicester City from under 18 upwards, instead of just the first team squad.

As such it was a valuable excercise. (Total +15.5).

:w00t:

That means he'll be on for at least a +4 if he gets a draw off Blackpool then?

I cannot imagine he'll get much for any draw.

I'm not a big fan of draws at the best of times.

I am hating myself for this...but it has to be done...sorry...

So Thracian, where do you put you socks? :dunno:

Sadly I wasn't able to make it to either of the pre-season games, but how did Hellings get on? And what position did he play in?

Central midfield. He's a big lad but a bit languid for that position. Wins his share in the air of course. Wouldn't want to judge how good his is or might be on one viewing. But he's got a lot of competition in there, and that's before Ka'ebi or Clemence arrive.

Quality day again really, crowd was brilliant considering it's a friendly.

I'm surprised you saw any of the football what with all the effort you put in sheltering those two young ladies. :P:D .

I didn't actually see much of the football at all for many reasons. And I had no problem what so ever with sheltering the lovely pair.

I could see that - you even tried to rope in a third at one stage. Where would you have hidden her, I wonder! You'd have needed the wingspan of a golden eagle. :D
