Thracian Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 I wasn't trying to rope in a third at all! Thracian makes me sound like a pimp Just seeing she was safe, I know.
lildave3 Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Just seeing she was safe, I know. I actually, sort of, know that one. Was just seeing if she'd been manhandled by the clan she'd been kidnapped by

lildave3 Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 I bet she enjoyed that! What, being kidnapped by the clan? I don't think she did tbh. True. Your immense size rivals even that of the goliath like Mark De Vries Well of course.Still can't work out that of all the people you could choose to hide behind, you choose the smallest there
Guest Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Well I thought I'd give my version of the match report which is similar but different to some of the others:: Three players shone for City first half - N'Gotty, Kishishev and Weso - Bruno was imperious at the back whilst kishi and weso ran the park - they were both here there and everywhere. Weso was my man of the match. Honorary Mentions go to Stearman who looked great at centre back and shouted lots of instruction to mattock/sheehan as they switched between left back and left wing roles. Also Cort looked to have a great touch and linked well in the second half although he seems a little short on pace from the Carl Cort I remember (still early days yet). Chambers looked full of energy and regulary burst forward in the first half showing some good inter-play. Eric Oicantremeberhissecondnameo looked pacey when he came on but clearly needs to work on the end product as he had a one on one where he just ran into the keeper and a chance to cross with three against one at the back and he missed all the blue shirts. Some kid with a bald head who looked hard as nails prob at right back at the end looked pretty tasty also. Mattock was pretty good too. Average - Sheehan - can run around a bit but cant cross for toffee. Elvis - not too bad today caused problems but missed two sitters. still he scored and was useful enough. MDV also had a good run out. i dont agree he was worth a 7 but he was alright and has clearly been off the pies this summer. Morfaw - looked shaky at first but grew into the game as the second half progressed. Was playing in centre mid not left back which I'd thought he was....Newton - put some effort in but gives the ball away to easily and wasnt impressed with his crossing. Worrying - Neilson. It wasn't just one flap at a corner it was several flaps at every corss into the box. reminded me of kalac and i was almost glad when rab came on (!). Persoanlly I thought the little ginger kid looked a bit scared with the ball at his feet and just tried to get rid ASAP. It's clear from the second half that Quorn got on top once all the academy kids came on so we shouldnt be rushing them through just yet. Nice day out, all in all

Micky Ruddle Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Poor use of the Mega-phone. May have to send that back Unless, anyone would like to buy it off me? Anyhows, i wasn't convinced really. Casino Jimmy looked nervous, but then again, first game nerves. Odhiambo = God. Finally got a picture with him. Oooh, does anyone know why Isaac Newton went off on one? Rab looked good also.
Unit Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 anyone at the players exit at the end, some lad went to give shaun newton a pat on the back and was told to "fook off, don't touch me" however this was after chants of "oi sergio have you got a visa yet?" :dunno:

You know what i mean really
Finnegan Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 Heh. Got a text at work from my old man, who went. Was moaning about Cort being bollocks, another De Vries like donkey. What's Cort's fitness level like at the moment? Can we expect an improvement in athleticism?
General Smuts Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 No Dodds in either game? Assumed hed get at least a bit of a run out McKay too. Thanks for the reports fellas glad of the two wins aswell. Bring on Hinkley.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 Heh. Got a text at work from my old man, who went. Was moaning about Cort being bollocks, another De Vries like donkey. What's Cort's fitness level like at the moment? Can we expect an improvement in athleticism? He hit the post and scored one which he was offside for. He looked decent on the deck and not bad fitness-wise to say he's been sitting out of a fair few sessions, according to people who have been down and watched training. Wouldn't put him in the 'de Vries when he signed for us' bracket, yet.
Lillehamring Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 one important detail no one has mentioned - what did the kit look like, is it the right blue? EDIT: ach, found some discussion on this elsewhere - i am massively hung over, you know!
Daggers Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 i am massively hung over, you know! Mr.Stearman, your alcohol abuse is taking on ridiculous proportions.
Simi Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 anyone at the players exit at the end, some lad went to give shaun newton a pat on the back and was told to "fook off, don't touch me" however this was after chants of "oi sergio have you got a visa yet?" :dunno: That bloke said to Shaun Newton..."Got any coke on you" Also I think someone said "Got your visa yet" to Morfaw. Who actually played quite well.

Like JBF9 says he looked alright on the deck and his finishing looked composed. He didn't get stuck in at all really, probably on manager's orders, no need to pick up any more injuries.

Can't say I was impressed with either of them, DeVries was his usual donkey self and Cort never won a header and should of had enough brain to stay onside for his chance.
David Villa Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 The young lad who played at Right Back, Billy Kee had good strong performance, I think one deffo for the future.
FleckneyFox Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 Mckay was at Oadby he was up front wearin number 15 he looked pretty good running at people and missed a sitter towards the end one-on-one with the keeper he had another shot that was well saved he looked ok
Teeno Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 The young lad who played at Right Back, Billy Kee had good strong performance, I think one deffo for the future. He was another one I remember from my brothers team aswell, He was hard as nails even at the age of 8. Pretty sure he can play center mid aswell.
Thracian Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 Can't say I was impressed with either of them, DeVries was his usual donkey self and Cort never won a header and should of had enough brain to stay onside for his chance. Totally agree about Cort's chance - and I didn't like the way he turned around and blamed Ashley Chambers. I've seen Tiatto and Hughes do it last season and now Cort - anything to shift the blame. Cort was always offside throughout his run and Chambers waited and waited for him to check himself. In the end the youngster picked the best moment before he ran out of space to deliver the pass but Cort was still offside. If Cort got himself fit maybe he wouldn't need to get offside in the first place and he certainly wouldn't need to switch the blame for his error to someone else.
