Wilkesy Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 Disgrace - Stuart Broad has been left out and Chris Tremlett Starts! Vaughan has one the toss and we will bat first, apprently looks like a belter Anyone going to be watching? Come on England
Milky Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 I'll be watching it, flicking over to check on the golf now and again. Suprising to hear about the broad omission as all the noises coming out of the camp suggested he'd play.
Geo V Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 Ive opted to listen to the cricket on the radio instead because I have the Golf on the TV to my left, the poker and this forum as well as newsnow.co.uk on the PC. Im doing so much juggling that I know feel I am ready for the circus. BTW, with the weather forecasted to be pants on Saturday and Sunday and the teams having better batting line-ups than bowling, surely this will end up being a bore-draw?

David Villa Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 Good bout time he hit a score tbf, have India bowled well in spells?

Joe. Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 Good bout time he hit a score tbf, have India bowled well in spells? England Punish Poor India Bowling
Simi Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 England going well, 174-1 after 50 overs *Waits for middle order collapse.*
Geo V Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 Strauss messes up an easy chance for a ton or even double ton and goes for 96. 222-2 and the draw looks odds on as we couldn't bowl out a team of amateurs without a firing Harmison and steady Hoggard. We also still miss Simon Jones and Fred Flintoff so we virtually have none of our front line bowlers.

Geo V Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 It's all about the Monty my friend, all about the Monty!!!! Monty is class but he cant do it all by himself like he at times did against the Windies! India have Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly, Dhoni and Laxman amongst others. These boys can bat but cant bowl very well as said before the start of play!

Micky Ruddle Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 Well, thats unfortunate for Broady. I don't rate Tremlett much, but he may do well. Welcome back Straussy! Good knock there Likewise with Vaughan. Build on a healthy start, reaching 400+, that would certainly put us in the driving seat. Come on England!!!!

Come on England!!!! good knocks by both of them but they didn't go on to big hundreds, strauss, when you've not had a hundred for about a year its a bit stupid to run down the wicket to kumble on 96 saying that he worked hard and got the runs, but vaughan looked excellent just a really good ball that got him
Geo V Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 good knocks by both of them but they didn't go on to big hundreds, strauss, when you've not had a hundred for about a year its a bit stupid to run down the wicket to kumble on 96 saying that he worked hard and got the runs, but vaughan looked excellent just a really good ball that got him Strauss looked all over the place and it was a miracle that he got 96. Im worried about Pietersens body language as he doesn't seem to be that bothered in low key matches. I know he hit some great shots but he just doesn't seem at the races. Now watch him hit 300
