Kirky Posted 5 August 2007 Posted 5 August 2007 portman road and loftus road are 2 of the worse in the championship..and personally i dislike carrow road.
act smiley Posted 5 August 2007 Posted 5 August 2007 What's your criteria for poor atmosphere outside the ground? Ikea
RedOnRed Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 Ikea Where else can you watch a match and then get some flat pack on the way out?
Charnwood Norris Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 Birminghams ground is pretty depressing - In a slum area and always windy because of it being on a hill.
purpleronnie Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 Really got me going now...did anyone ever visit Northampton Town's old ground? They shared it with the cricket club so it only had 3 sides and the pitch was used as a car park in the summer. To make matters worse the old wooden main stand was condemed after the Bradford fire disaster so they could only really use the terracing (all standing) behind each goal! Terracing...that sounds perfect to me.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 Crystal palace was pretty bad, crappy surrounding area, wooden seats and two pillars in the way! Not to mention unsavoury characters around the ground, hated it. Yes and the hardest bastard ground to find too !!
Geo V Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 Barnsley in the late 80s. Walking through what seemed like fields for about a mile before getting to the stadium that was open for away fans. Travelling away up T`North was always a real eye opener to see how the locals dress and talk a sit was like getting in a time machine and going back to the 70s .
