Sparky Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 I thought the catering staff were alot better, the one that served me was nice, polite and smiled and said thank you, oh and she was also quick. Never had that at the walkers before!! Reading could have at least had a go like Birmingham did earlier, they're on TV and should be providing an entertaining game. They decided to defend from the off and had no intention of scoring unless they got a lucky corner. Hannemann played well enough though, nothing outstanding, that came from the 9 man defence which meant Man Utd could only muster up long range efforts yes but fact is reading 1 point birmingham 0 point. birmingham need applauding but with money at stake these days owners will be glad to go to the big 4 and come away with a point
Brainy Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 Did they actually take an attacking corner? They had a corner in the 93rd minute. If I was the manager i'd like them to get it in the box, cause some trouble, and see if you can get lucky.
MPH Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 Hardly, Sunderland v Tottenham is the only game im interested in watching. I'm sure im not the only one bored of seeing Man Utd and Chelsea on the tele, even if they play good football. Tottenham are the side i'll be looking out for. Their strikeforce is quality. Anyway,Sunderland 0-3 Spurs Wolves 1-1 Watford Chelsea 4-0 Birmingham Man Utd 4-0 Reading not wishing to be throwing any insults.... but way off, mate....
MPH Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 Reading goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann: "For us to go 10-men down and keep a clean sheet was a great result for us. he's bloody right!!!!!! finishing the game with only one man on the pitch and still not losing to Man U is genius stuff!!!
MC Prussian Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 Plus, Rooney has fractured his left foot in the game. Out indefinitely.
Brainy Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 not wishing to be throwing any insults.... but way off, mate.... I know But Reading went to Old Trafford looking for the draw Sunderland scored in the last minute Wolves v Watford - nearly Chelsea v Birmingham - fine.
lildave3 Posted 12 August 2007 Posted 12 August 2007 Lehmann Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke...
Geo V Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 Lucky Arsenal! Old Sanchez must have thought he was the new special one after 84 minutes Lets hope that the gap between the top 4 and the rest has been reduced this season. I know 3 of them won and the other drew but it was the manner of the victories that gives me hope that maybe the big clubs wont have it as easy as they did last season.
MC Prussian Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 This could be one of the most exciting Premiership seasons in ages.
Bojimha Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 Well done t Reading yesterday the boys did well. Fair enough it was ugly but they got the point and thats all that matters. Made it even sweeter for me because my man utd fan 'mate' has been texting me all weekend about our loss to Blackpool.
