Tommy G Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 From an England point of view it's a massive blow. But as an anti utd supporter I can't help but find it funny that they've lost their star man! Dean Ashton has come out today and told McClaren that he can ''be the main man for england'' and ''lead the line'' etc etc. Thumbs up he's a decent player but he's no Wayne...Im sure Carlos 'pretty boy' Tevez will fill his boots while his foot heals, not a bad replacement I guess
Brainy Posted 14 August 2007 Posted 14 August 2007 Im sick of hearing about it. He's done nothing for England for the past two years and his goalscoring record proves it.
MC Prussian Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 Question is: Who can replace him and - most importantly - where are all the good English strikers anyway?
lildave3 Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 Question is:Who can replace him and - most importantly - where are all the good English strikers anyway? Me and i'm here.
lildave3 Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 Rooney is class, Enough said. Is he as class as a young Ben Stapleford?
MC Prussian Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 Me and i'm here. Dave - I need your footie CV and I'd like to propose myself as your agent.
lildave3 Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 Dave - I need your footie CV and I'd like to propose myself as your agent. Done, you get 1%.
MC Prussian Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 Done, you get 1%. I think we might have to re-discuss the terms of this agreement.
Simi Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 One of the only players who gives his all for his country. We'll miss him, being as none of our strikers seem to be upto much when playing for England.
