SOCCERROO FOX Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 It was just a celebration remember it was his first goal he was obviously pretty pumped up about it. Any way if he wanted to score every week he can tell who ever he likes where to go and i don't think they would mind one bit
Thracian Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdsKbH--yFQWatch his arms second movement. No if I am somehow getting mixed up here I appologise, or if he didn't mean it but I dont see how that would be possible. What is that all about For one well done Alan, you've scored a goal that was horrible deflected, you have now arrived. I'm sure Fegie as on the phone to MA enquiring about your services. For two If you play like a donkey you'll get abused for it, if you play well you wont. So giving that action to our supporters some of which have supported you from day one will get you nowhere. Also Tharacian before you jump on this as you do with anything that is anit golden boy I would like to remind you of your reaction when Stephen Hughes scored against Stoke I think it was? and put his fingers to his lips, I you berrated him for it when I pointed it out I know you don't like the guy - despite the odd condescending remark and momentary attempt to be fair - but you're stretching the bounds of credibility with this one. Seems to me like Weso might have made a teasing remark to him and he made some sort of fun-meant reaction but that was all basically "yes please, get in". He seemed to react keenly enough to his standing ovation later - turning and clapping the kop with gusto. I said your mind was being turned.
Ultra Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Manwell, even by your standards, this post is pretty pathetic. After Saturday's events you're not really in a position to call anyone for their behaviour, are you? Especially if such behaviour only exists in your sad imagination. This snide dig at Sheehan is despicable and there's no cause for it.
Geo V Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Yes, thats cleary what Im on about obviously I'm the only one who recognised it.I can't see his face mate so I wouldn't know that. Next thing Sheehan will be bringing out some more 80s moves like that one that Graeme Souness and Eric Gates used to do after scoring, snapping their fingers in 80s gangsta respec style and spitting. I cant wait for his Mick Channon.
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 August 2007 Author Posted 28 August 2007 Alright alright Im wrong. As I said if I'm wrong fair enough. He definatley does it though

Ultra Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I've checked it out. It's a gesture of celebration, nothing more. Certainly nothing to warrant cheap abuse on here. Anyone would think he was part of a team which LOST 4-1!

I'm very sorry Alan Sheehan, and well done on what I hear was a very good second half. I'd love to know why it is he only plays well when I'm not there.

Ultra Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 You absolute bellend. Oh, so you think Sheehan's a "twat" as well, do you? I thought Manwell might have been a little unfortunate on Saturday. Having read this thread, I'm not so sure.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Oh, so you think Sheehan's a "twat" as well, do you?I thought Manwell might have been a little unfortunate on Saturday. Having read this thread, I'm not so sure. Nope I don't think he's a twat at all. But by siding with the stewards over Manwell getting chucked out, I think you might be. I'm beginning to feel about the stewards the way Thracian does about traffic wardens. How anyone can do that job and chuck people out who have paid good money to support their team just for daring to stand on the back row of the supposed "Kop" must be an excuse for a human being. Quite why the bloke at the front of F1 can't turn a blind eye in the same way that everyone else doing his job in other sections can, I have no idea. I'm still angry about it though.

Having read this thread, I'm not so sure. He didn't say that did he, he highlighted your comments about my ejection not the comments made about Sheehan. I did say at the start of my original post, I appolgise if I'm getting mixed up or he somehow gave a **** off sign to the crowd without knowing what he means, in which case he must be pretty thick. I still say he does it personally, I can't see how any one can argue that he didn't. It's there as clear as day.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Just as an aside (...), I did notice him do it at the time because it was right below where we were in F1 but I assume he was just celebrating in a possibly slightly naive way? It definitely does mean f**k off though.

I think many users will find it ironic that Manwell should highlight a small gesture by one of our players and use it to start what is, it must be said, a pretty nasty rumour. Perhaps he may appreciate how easy it is for stewards to jump to conclusions about people's behaviour, even if they may be wrong.
Hazza Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I'm sure i've seen Walshie do that same thing after one goal or another.

The fact is though that he does do it and it does mean f**k off. I don't think you're in any position to make judgments on a thread like this after your "Hang the DJ" effort. A pun it may be, but in very poor taste and jumping to conclusions about a player who has subsequently scored two extremely important goals for us.

Truth is Manwell's suggestion doesn't stand up, He seems to have accepted that and we should all move on. I don't think any of our players deserve hassle of any kind after Saturday's performance.

I was thinking the same myself! You don't get chucked out for fvck all-if you draw attention to yourself then thats the first step if you start screaming and shouting thats the second step and if you don't sit down and get thrown out well you've only got yourself to blame. I've been chucked out home and away many times without complaint-everyone get over it please!

No screaming or shouting or drawing attention to himself. No warning. Nothing. I appreciate Mablo has let it go but it affects me more in the long-term because he was next to where me, KM and Holly have our season tickets and if they clamp down on standing there it will ruin my season.

Bit of an over-reaction don't you think? As I said they don't chuck you out for nothing if he was sat down as required he'd wouldn't have been chucked out. It doesn't matter if you're at the back or at the front you're not allowed to stand! In the past I've put myself at risk of removal for using threatening behaviour to pricks blocking my view because the stewards were stood around doing sod all-It's nice to see they are now acting as they should!
Koke Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 Don't blame the stewards for doing their job. Its bad enough having the big boys running around in suits giving them silly orders (such as chucking out anyone who stands up) and being a real pain in the arse. You have to understand if the stewards don't carry out what they have been told to do, they'll get a real bollocking from up above. The stewards are being used as scape goats. The real criminals in this case are the Safety Managers or whatever they are called these days.
