Alexikokopops Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 I got my Fawlty Towers DVDs out last night for the first time in a while. Love it.
Stuliasz Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 "IS NOT FIRE, IS ONLY BELL!" Mrs Richards: "I asked for a room with a view" Fawlty: "Well that is Torquay madam" Mrs Richards: "Well its not good enough" Fawlty: "May I ask what you were expecting from a Torquay hotel window, Sydney Opera House perhaps, The Gardens of Babylon, herds of Wilderbeest sweeping majestically!"
Tommy G Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Love it. Mrs Richards is a great episode. Germans has got to be the best. Basil Fawlty: ...Right. Well, obviously if there was a fire you would all be standing down here like this, right here in the lobby. Wouldn't you? I don't know why we bother. We should let you all burn!!
Geo V Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 A more modern day Fire expert. Keith Lard... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxCKyLg7h_8 Peter Kay :worship:
Tommy G Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 A more modern day Fire expert. Keith Lard...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxCKyLg7h_8 Peter Kay :worship: Quality. But Fawlty Towers is still my fave comedy hands down
Geo V Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 Quality. But Fawlty Towers is still my fave comedy hands down You cant replace some of the classic comedies but Peter Kay comes close from the modern era and not many do. Its a shame that people get so famous that they decide to go missing for years. I get that with music and comedians in particular the lightweight sods. As Delia asked, "Where are you??" "Lets be avin you".
Lord Nibblington Posted 5 September 2007 Posted 5 September 2007 John Cleese is a comedy genius. Or somesuch thing.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 I've got the day off because of a real fire. The car body shop place behind our office mysteriously caught light last night and was still burning pretty fiercely at 9.00am so we're closed for the day. No one hurt as far as we know but there is a suggestion that a rough sleeper used to doss down there regularly, so until we know they're ok I cannot be too ecstatic about my extra day's holiday
DB11 Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 We had a fire drill today at school. Wasn't as funny as that though

samingram_uk Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 They've been back a week I think. Oh rite, i was gona say, first day back, its no real surprise is it.
lildave3 Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Oh rite, i was gona say, first day back, its no real surprise is it. I think I had a grand total of 1 fire drill while at Groby. That was on like the first day I think.
Alexikokopops Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 The worst one is in Uni halls when they try and do a fire drill at a time when most people are in. The result? Half fecking 6 in the fecking morning. Feckers.
