The People's Hero Posted 7 September 2007 Posted 7 September 2007 No. This isn't a thread about a new, less than groundbreaking, lo-fi, acoustic, outfit of long haired strumsters with broken hearts and tatty clothes. It's not even a thread about a new throwaway, 3chord, friendly rock band who smile a lot and will be flavour of the month for... well, less than a month without ever releasing a memorable tune, built on hype etc etc etc. This is my announcement that I'm setting up basecamp in here until this Warnock/Reid sh it blows over. We can all sit here and eat ricecooks, Mr Kipling slices and burnt sausages (uncooked in the middle) - I have a campfire too you see.... until Brian Little is put back in charge and we can pretend it's the nineties again. Travis - you might have been bored of the nineties but I'm fu cking now. I'm sick of this campsite, I'm off to listen to The Longpigs Greatest Hits and perhaps some Bluetones, in Lee Philpott's Capri.
The People's Hero Posted 10 September 2007 Author Posted 10 September 2007 I'm still here, even though my tent has blown away and all my friends are dead.
The People's Hero Posted 10 September 2007 Author Posted 10 September 2007 Anyone care to join my commune of death? My insipid, colourless campsite of inactivity? My hideous, stench-ridden cesspit of bare existence?
hairy Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 As all your friends who joined you before are now dead, why would anyone want to join you? Surely you are some type of psychopath axeman type?

Surely you are some type of psychopath axeman type? Yes. Yes I am. But I have a campfire, sausages and half a crate of warm Boddingtons.
hairy Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Yes. Yes I am.But I have a campfire, sausages and half a crate of warm Boddingtons. I'm in. But dont go chopping me up until we have finished the "Bodies" Do you know any camp fire songs we could sing until a new manager is appointed?
Alexikokopops Posted 10 September 2007 Posted 10 September 2007 Keen, although I've managed to avoid this Reid/Warnock stuff without even trying to. Lovely stuff.
Kent Fox Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Can I bring Gary Megson? He'll be our next manager, you know
Alexikokopops Posted 11 September 2007 Posted 11 September 2007 Let's all smoke a Camberwell carrot until this blows over.
