In my second season, I got promoted to the Premier League via the play offs. Iain Hume was a goal machine in my second season, 48 goals in 54 games. I'm now building a squad capable of competing in the Premier League, any ideas?

AmericanScott Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 I'm 30 games into my first season and i'm in 10th with City. Funnily enough, im only 3 points off second place so it's very tight. Can anyone suggest good tactics that actually keep a winning streak going?
FilboFox Posted 13 May 2008 Author Posted 13 May 2008 thats isnt really an editor problem tbh, at the end of a season you can choose whether you put your reserve team and youth team in any leagues or not!! and youth players get promoted when they are to old to play in the under 18's! Yes but I was wondering if you could set it up so they are not playing in their leagues at the start of the game and also, I know the players get promoted when they get too old BUT there are always new ones that appear from nowhere and I was wondering if you could stop that from happening... I know it sounds like a strange thing to be doing but I was just wondering if it was possible...

Not sure about the reserve thing but you can't stop players being promoted I don't think, thats written into the game. Why anyway?

They just really piss me off... young players always get injured and waste my teams space and I have to pay their wages and they are never any good bar the occasional player every 5 years... As for the fixtures, I like to focus only on the main team... the others can sod off.

allard7 Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 I started a season with an edited database, i put myself upfront (thats how sad i am ) lmao with all 20 even though all of the stats are only 16-18 and the same with the goalkeeeper and i stormed the league got 108 points, my player scored 47 or something. im now in the premier league and about 10th and both of the created players are inthe full england squad ! i need to sign a few more players in the jan Transfer that are good in the league and realistic targets any help... ?

dandannieldanok Posted 13 May 2008 Posted 13 May 2008 seriously any players anyone can recomend? I always find that players in the SPL, excluding Rangers and Celtic, are affordable and generally quite good. Dundee United have a decent squad, Hunt and Gomis are probably their best.

OH and by the way.,.........................................BILLY SHARP IS THE DOGZ! He's been remarkably mediocre since i loaned him in league 1. Only got 9 in 16 and 5 assists. Hume has 10 in 17 with 9 assists.

Whenever I'm in the Prem, I always go on a really bad run near the end of the season and end up getting relegated. I've got about 8 games of the season left, any tips?

Finished 16th, knocked out in the 3rd round of the FA Cup and got to the Carling Cup semis. Not bad.
