Tevez Posted 1 June 2008 Posted 1 June 2008 I'm doing class. Put Leicester into League One and got rid of everyone, I had a budget of 3m to spend which got me Champions of the division. It took me two seasons to get promoted to the Prem where i'm doing pretty well thanks.
C-man Posted 1 June 2008 Posted 1 June 2008 Currently 30 games into my 3rd season at Peterborough United. 1st season - Won League Two with 102 pts having remained unbeaten in the league all season. The highlight was beating Man Utd 1-0 in the FA Cup 3rd round at London Road! 2nd season - Won League One with 92 pts. Billy McKay and Mark De Vries grabbed me 35/40 goals between them. The highlight was winning at Forest 2-1 after being 1-0 down with 2 minutes to go needing a win to make sure of the title. 3rd season - Sitting top of the Championship with 60 pts from 30 games. My team's looking a bit like Leicester City reserves now: Graham Stack Alan Sheehan Clint Hill Nana Ofori (19 yr old from Chelsea) Clint van Stee (Dutch Gem) George Boyd - Mammal Liam Miller Sergio Hellings Craig Mackail-Smith/Max Gradel Billy McKay Mark de Vries My computer's ridiculously slow at the moment so its taken me over 2 days playing time to get this far!

There are certain things that I've never done in FM 08 because I find it always backfires: Play wide, play slow/short passing, playing without AMC, and playing wingers in general rarely pays off. I tend to go with a narrow 4-3-1-2, or a normal 2-3-2-1-2 with wingbacks or even a 4-2-3-1 with a ring of players around the AMC. The tricky part when defending is stopping the opposition wingers getting a cross in, which is bloody hard and why you need preferrably big centerbacks with good positioning and anticipation to head the ball away.

I usually had my assistant arrange them for me but i wanna do a stupid tour of Spain or something for pre season Edit: I've figured out how to arrange them now. I've got a tour of Argentina coming up and the much anticipated friendly between Leicester City and Leicester Ressies. I hope the ressies give a kicking to my boys!

Into my second season now and i've won the League cup (against Forest!!) and sitting 12 points clear at the top of the Premier league. My team now is Fulop Mattock Stearman Ze Castro Fredson Downing Simao Christian Portilla Mascherano Huntelaar Stancu I like this game now 12 points clear with that team? I find that very hard to believe...

Since I won promotion I've had offers from Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham but I've turned them all down, Peterborough are a far bigger club Now to completely rebuild my squad!

My team is basically the normal Leicester back 4, neilson in goal (he seems better than fulop...) Halmosi left wing, kish and clemence in centre mid and some fella called songo'o on the right wing. Up front i have kevin phillips and barry hayles (works like a beast!!!) BUT... I'm worried my team will be shit in the premiership, lost 7-1 to celtic in a friendly. Who's a decent player in each area of the pitch (striker mid def) I need one of each i think
