Bert Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Considering the "foul" on their goalie when we had the ball in the back of the net, how the hell was the "foul" not giving on Fulop near the end of the game?
DB11 Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Where there player was 1 v 1 and Fulop just dived and could have gotten himself a serious injury? If it's that one, it was 50-50 really

I totally agree. Their keeper had no right to the ball, came over a city player to get it and dropped it. The second was Fulops ball all the way, their player threw himself in there, a foul!
Jimmy Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 Campbell jumped into Camp and he dropped the ball, for the past 10 years or so that has been a foul on the keeper its nothing new and the "goal" was never going to be given

More to the point, why didnt the ref do something about the karate style tackles that were flying about, mainly from the QPR players? I was waiting for a serious injury before the muppet ref did something. And someone needs to explain to the ref what the advantage rule is! Still played like donkeys, cant expect to get anything. Dont know if I should be excited about Tuesday or not! Phil
Benji Posted 15 September 2007 Posted 15 September 2007 I couldn't believe the two stud's up tackles witihn 5 minutes that escaped punishment. Sheehan was stupid and deserved his yellow, but it was no worse than the 2 that followed. Consistency, not in the Referee's Association Vocabulary.

I asked the same thing. But the ref was a cock, to be fair. I couldn't believe the two stud's up tackles witihn 5 minutes that escaped punishment. Sheehan was stupid and deserved his yellow, but it was no worse than the 2 that followed. Consistency, not in the Referee's Association Vocabulary. The standard of refereeing in this country is a joke. Is it any wonder none of our so-called top refs are never used in major international games at club level as well as full internationals.
DB11 Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 It is hard being a ref. Maybe a player was blocking his view? Maybe something else happened? It's easy to watch it from the stands and talk about it but it's a lot harder to put it into practice on the pitch

What with generous expenses, and even a £60k pa contract for the top ones, it's a hard life.
